  1. Anyone have one i can borrow for a small amount of money and a few beers? Need to blast the front cross member, slam panel, rear bumper iron and radiator support panel. Cheers!:thumbleft:
  2. Thanks to Kur2y for this very hansom head light wiring loom... Complete with IP65 rated enclosure and all water tight and ready to go! :) My hat Goes off to you Zak! excellent work!
  3. that car is absolutely filthy! and the grill looks gash... There are far better cars for sale on here for half the price, makes you wonder...
  4. Yeah, that would seem to be a good solution. Thanks Andi
  5. I'm surprised you come up on Yahoo more than Bing BTW... thought the search engine market was more like: google - 70% Bing - 25 - 27% and the rest on yahoo and jeeves and all them lot. Or at least thats what my IT man tells me....
  6. Spamming in the Blog section seems to be happening allot. I realize that new uses can post what ever they like, and I'm all for freedom of speech... but to only post spam with links to suspicious websites is not a good thing for the forum and it's hardly corrado relevant. I also think the spam is turning folk off using the blog spot... Every time I log on and look in the blog section it's full of "loose weight fast" nonsense. Spam is not ham... I don't think i like it :mad2: I'm sure you know about it, is there a way to reduce it?
  7. As for whether a 16v one will fit... I don't know. The part numbers are different thats for sure, i think a 16v rad is pt.no. 191121253 D
  8. sorry for some reason my posts arn't posting... the part number you need for the g60 rad is OEM part no. 535121251B also I just looked on VW Classic Parts.... 297.08 € (£247.80...) as i thought. I've ordered from Volks - apart loads of times, never had a problem and always seem well packaged and on time
  9. OEM rad part no. 535121251B is only available from VW classic Parts and is going for 297.08 € (£247.80...) http://www.vw-classicparts.de/bestand/index_e.html
  10. Except i don't think you'll like the price of the one from the dealers... £250 odd quid when i last checked for a g60 rad. I know the radiator support bracket for the g60 is the same as an early 16v (except for a few holes for the power steering rack pipes.) so I would ASSUME that they are the same... but you know what they say about assumptions! But to be perfectly honest... you can get a reconditioned oem rad from Volks-apart for £50. And who cares if it only lasts you 2 years? you could buy 4 more and still not spend as much as VAG wont for a new one! So yeah... give Volks-apart a ring
  11. There was a company down south that quoted me £250 + VAT to fabricate one for me... that was a year or two ago now though. get a quote from Powerflow or someone see what they're wanting
  12. http://www.gaterosplating.co.uk/Zinc-Plating-kit.php WOOW! I've been searching the internet for a "galvanizer", no wonder i couldn't find what i needed! I might see if i can get me one of these
  13. What do you get for £1000? Also how hard is it to make one? What is the electrolyte you need to use? and is it a simple case of strapping a bit of zinc to a battery and waiting for a day or two?? If it's nothing special why spend £1000? does it regulate the current because i've got a gismo that can do that without spending that much... The rest is just passing a current through the correct materials surely? Or am I missing something? I'd like to think all I need is a plastic tank, some zinc and a couple of car batteries....
  14. lol... get a trickle charger and get off your ever loving ECU's! Slap some oil on your valves and get the old man to turn you over once and a while and all. P.S. Welcome to the forum ;)
  15. Whats involved? do you just slap a bit off zink in a solution and attatch it to a battery? What are you getting for your £1000... Whats stopping me getting a large plastic tub, dropping and electrolite into it and passing a current though some zinc? will that work?? I'd love a "bodged" one but something tells me that electroplating steel with zinc is not as easy as all that...
  16. i've heard rumour that you can galvanize at home? Has anyone tried this? I assume it's not hot dip method as that would/could be a bit dodgy. Maybe electrolysis? anyone have any experiance of these things? (Didn't i hear Yan talking about a galvanizer once?) Tah! :geek:
  17. Blue Valentine - 8/10 Very good acting, captivating story and you get a good look at the blond lassies baps (shes the blond bird from dawsons creek btw) What more could you ask for?
  18. It's the same as any mk2 golf or polo... just tighten the screws up
  19. There is a fella near Dundee in Scotland who is braking a early 16v... not sure how keen he would be to be cutting up the cills though. Names Sambo on the Svag Forum if you want to look him up.
  20. I'd say that the build quality is good when you consider the age of the cars... and it's allot better than some cheep modern cars. But saying that, there are things about the car that could be improved, but as for the squeaks that's just the trim edging strips wearing down.... just get some foam replacement and bingo! no more Squeaks
