  1. If he had done that then I would have agreed with the sentiment... Smashing up a 100K car doesn't make any sense. I mean I faint at the idea of doing that to my C and she's worthless!
  2. yeah, not all roses though as the fuses if you look close are not in the ip rated enclosure... bit anoying but I have a few ideas to help protect them. Will look really nice when I get round to painting the enlosure too :) The grit blaster is for a bumper iron i got (look at page 6's last post) as well as a slam panel and rad support panel. Am going to grit these on Saturday if the weather up in Scotland here stays good. :?
  3. It's more than a sticker... it's the same thickness of the cap. They can do loads of finishes through from carbon fibre, gloss, matt etc... and for bespoke 58mm ones (i'm getting some with G60 in the centre) they wonted £16.95 for 5. Email them, they are really very helpful :)
  4. ahh yes just the stickers.. ive ordered them via email and asked for a specific size ( i wonted 58mm)
  5. http://www.dmb.uk.com/cart.php ?? £12 for 4....
  6. Wish I could be there, it's just a little to far away  ! I got this years stickers though, very nice :)
  7. Ahh you poor wee man so you are, canee sit in yr car on a bonny day such as tday... tis a wee shame :camp: Check and disconnect the immobilizer and see if that helps. Failing that I have no idea... as i said, I think the way it now closes is how it should behave.
  8. do you have a good condition OEM leather gear knob? if so i'll take it for £10
  9. Gotcha... that makes sense, stainless isn't likely to rust lol!. I'd rather have a "fit and forget" set of coilovers, and the ride is fine by my standards. I may not have noticed the crashyness on mine but i'll not be using her as a daily. But it does need to sit on my drive lookin good for long periods of time :D incidentally... is that the cheapest ill get those KW's for?
  10. Not doing it on the car mate, just in the drive the parts are sitting in my shed just now. Was going to get some plastic sheeting to collect as much media as possible so that I could sieve it later on and bake it to dry it. Although I do expect allot of the grit to get lost. :(
  11. got one that produces 116psi max pressure and 8.5cfm @ 40psi... That should be ok. This gun is designed to work with 7cfm @ 30... the reason I chose it. The trick is getting the media to draw as this isn't a gravity feed type gun. The grit is the important bit anyway, the harder the particles and the smaller they are the more abasive they will be... you actually wont to use the lowest preasure and air flow you can get away with (as high flows increase wear on the nozzle) so... If this fails I'll use a different media before i completely give up :) As for the mess, Ill be doing it in next doors drive way :thumbleft: ---------- Post added at 05:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:10 PM ---------- I expect it will take ages and make a mess... but if i save money that's all that matters, i need to save for my list! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44782-Alex-s-G60-Mistress-IT-S-ALIVE!
  12. Why didn't you tell me that earlier... as in before i spent £40 on a air gun! I bought it btw because every local company I rang gave me the finger so I might as well give it a go now. I'll let you all know how I get on!
  13. I've driven bother and prefer the V1's thanks all the same kev, do those Bilstein B12's come galvanized as well? the KW's should last a little longer as well if they are... or do they have their own special coating?
  14. The grit gun arrived today... Will hope to have a go this weekend coming so long as it's not raining... :? will let you all know how i get on...
  15. Thanks Man! I hadn't noticed but they are similar now you mention it. I loved those seats. Mine will be part leather with the grey and red in suede though... should be lovely! :smug: Got this in the post today! as well! Although i can't use it because of this.... :(
  16. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KW-Suspension-Variant-1-Coilover-Kit-VW-Corrado-G60%2fVR6_W0QQitemZ200564044749QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=218049098721&rvr_id=218049098721&cguid=bbf09c9f12c0a0e2021200a2ffd01f6f is this the cheepest you can find? may be buying these in the next week or two.... Edit: Got to be the inox ones BTW :thumbleft:
  17. This I think this is a factory setting with the car. The windows raise when you turn off the ignition so you don't leave the windows open. No idea why they didn't do this before in your car but it may have something to do with your immobilizer... ---------- Post added at 03:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:26 PM ---------- Why the :( BTW? It's a nice feature i always thought... Especially with English weather. Why would you wont to leave the windows down?
  18. Done a little more this evening. Cleaned the boot carpet and parcel self. The only things left to clean with my carpet cleaner are the internal floor carpets.... Trouble is the carpets look to be stuck down to the internal floor pan with tiger seal of something similar :brickwall: The bugger is that this carpet cleaner... although good does get the carpet very wet. And with me not driving the C the carpet will stay wet if i don't wait for a nice hot day and do it then, (and it was snowing yesterday. :bonk:) I've also noticed that the door plastic cover (behind the door card) is very badly torn. Looks like I'll need to replace it at some point. Finally, I got bored this evening and spent 10mins thinking about what I'd do to my seat as soon as I could afford to do something! Pics bellow
  19. If you have a leather oem gear knob from the interior then ill take that for £10 posted provided it's in good condition?
