  1. Sold a couple of motorbikes plus a Golf and a 3 series on eBay and although they all went in the end there was a fair bit of messing around. Three or four people who won the auction and then were not able to turn up with the money - various bizarre excuses. So it was a slow process but they all went in the end.
  2. Yes it is an easy swap - I am a total klutz and swapped mine without a problem.
  3. M reg VR6 dark blue (?) at oxshott village sports club on saturday lunchtime (13th October)
  4. Loving the detailing you did on Wendy's car - make me feel guilty for just washing mine. A question for you on cleaning wheels if you don't mind. My speedlines are in very good nick having been refurbished a couple of years ago. But there is a bit of a build up of something on them - see pic - brake dust/corrosion? I'm not quite sure what to attack that with so as not to mess up the overall finish on the wheel. Any pointers please?
  5. My Mrs has an R32 and loves it - she's kept it longer than most cars which is proof. That black one in Autotrader is suspiciously good value!
  6. After 3 years of Corrado ownership I have finally got an uncracked splitter fitted. Hot day for crawling around under cars but I did it and am really pleased. Thanks to Digger B for the splitter. Less successful was attempting to get decent MW reception on the radio. Clearly there has been some interesting wiring going on as the number on the black connectors and the colours of the wires are not matching up very well. I have swapped head units and aerial bases to no avail. May just give up and get a new (DAB?) head unit professionally installed.
  7. Why didn't I buy this car? Oh yes, I couldn't have taken the responsibility!
  8. Really brought darts to life - my favourite quote "There's only one word for that, Magic Darts!"
  9. Goldie - you need to update your signature block from "Almost time for Another...." to something else now, although I suspect you're staring out of the window at your new purchase if not actually outside enjoying it.
  10. that's the one - your googling skills are a credit to you. No wonder he liked it - it's CHUFFING expensive!
  11. Took my daughter to the hockey yesterday. We were there for GB ladies who lost to China. They were devastated despite still being in with a chance of progressing and had tried so hard. Atmosphere was great. Would have been awesome to be in the athletics stadium last night for the three golds.
  12. I might be going mad here, but I'm sure I read a review of a digital camera by Hammond. I thought it was in Top Gear magazine but may have been in a newspaper. It sounded like a great camera and I wanted to check it out and compare it against the competition. Can anyone remember the review or know which one it was?
  13. Nice bike but I had a VFR400 for a while and found if you were in "full attack mode" it was great but commuting on it was a pain in several ways. But that was 18 miles into central london! When I did my bike test (2000) I did the Direct Access which was one day Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) on a 125 then three days on a 500 cc bike and the test at 8:30 on the fifth day. I found it a very good way to do it and had motivated myself by ordering an SV650s for delivery on the sixth day. No idea what the prices are now though.
  14. thought the opening ceremony was great but I don't like tennis and football being in the olympics
  15. Must get around to replacing the splitter (with the one I bought from Digger B) but am thinking of getting some new slightly lower springs for a little (and I mean little) drop.
  16. Go Bradley Wiggins! (Great name for a sportsman!)
  17. Hosing down in Surrey - hope you get better weather up there. Is the "For Sale" sign still on the windscreen?
  18. I like most sports and sports books so I have "Racing Through the Dark" to read on holiday.
