Good info.. cheers. I'm sure I could look into tapping the pins prior to sending them out :) Cheers Chris - that'd be handy!

Nice one - cheers Sean. Hmm... the pins are an interesting one as I wonder whether they'll be able to scan the thread inside the pin.. I know the pins unscrew - how easy are the surrounds to remove? Like the binnacle covers before, mine were in good condition but I wrecked them in the process of removing them for 3D scanning.. I don't want to break the lock pin surrounds too if possible :) Other colours would probably be possible, yes. Would have to talk to them about that and see what the options are.

I've been in touch with an interesting looking company to get an idea on pricing for 3D scanning and printing. They're keen to work with me, and on paper the prices look viable.. I was just scratching my head on any interior trim parts or similar which are now obsolete, that would be good candidates for 3D printing. I'd quite like to have a go at the fuse box cover clips. Can anyone think of anything else that would be good to attempt cloning? Cheers.

OK - successfully installed today at last. I popped to B&Q this morning and found a little kit that came with the ideal sized jubiliee clips, but only one per packet so had to buy two (about £1.70 each). As it turns out they're the exact same size and manufacturer as the jubilee clips already used to secure the coolant pipe to the throttle body, as supplied by Roose Motorsport.. handy! I cut the pipe, installed the non-return valve and refitted it all - looks good. Will feed back next time I fire up the car whether it's actually solved the water noises from behind the dash! Took it for a bit of a drive and no issues with it leaking or anything so, job done. Cheers.

Guys these are now in hand, and available :) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?96105-Speedo-Binnacle-Cover-Reproductions-NOW-AVAILABLE-(December-2016)

Hey all... As promised, I've done a new run of my Speedo Binnacle trim pieces and now have in my posession 20 pairs. I intend to keep a rolling stock of these, as long as people want to keep buying them, I'll keep making them and posting them. As most folks know, these are a 3D printed reproduction of the original part however with a few improvements. The rear is substantially reinforced meaning they should no longer break when you try and remove them (the main design flaw with the originals!) and they also feature a tiny cut-out on the front for you to insert a screw driver for leverage for removing them. Pictures attached to the thread of the part, and them fitted to my car :) Colour is very slightly lighter than the interior trim on the Corrado but really once in place, you don't notice them. Unfortunately this is the only 'black' colour available from the 3D printers so I can't fine tune this. Will keep looking around for alternatives though. If you had a pair of the original / first batch of these, I think the finish on these is nicer (looks more original) but the fit isn't quite as sweet.. but still work absolutely fine. Price is £9 delivered for a pair. If you want more than one pair, it's £8 per additional pair.. (so £17 for two pairs, £25 for three pairs, etc) as they're small and light so shouldn't affect postage if at all to put several in the packet. Please post below if you want a pair, and I'll PM you payment information, etc. I can accept PayPal or a direct bank transfer. Cheers!

Have to agree re: pricing. I think you could comfortably hold out for another 1-2k easily given that it's

I'll double check the condition (as it's sat open air in my lock-up for the last 12 months) and let you know. Want to make sure it's not corroded or anything.

It does occur to me Jim that I've still got the front SP263 cam still kicking around in my garage. It was only the rear that snapped, and as far as I know it's in good condition. Honestly I've no interest in taking the engine apart any more so if you want it, willing to let it go for a reasonable price?
-
Ah no - we never got that steering wheel. Indeed we never got airbags here on the Corrado!
-
Welcome back! Interesting one.. what's with the steering wheel too? Maybe the owner just retro-fitted the knee bars.. though no idea why you'd want them over some additional storage space :)
-
Be interested to know, if you go through all of this, whether you manage to cure that infamous VR6 tick between we've both suffered from. I found out that my head was replaced during my rebuild with Stealth, and it's still come back and is worse than ever - making me think that the noise must be caused by something else. God knows what though.
-
You're not kidding there mate.

What an absolutely debacle, Jim. Can completely understand how you're struggling with enthusiasm over all of this.
