  1. Afraid not. I have driven the Stealth demo turbo VR6 though and it is pretty spectacular. Had it for a few hours and simply couldn't get over the sheer pace of the thing. But sadly my feelings are the same as yours. As much as I respect the folks who've spent the money and had it done to their cars (and of course am really envious!) I just can't imagine spending that kind of cash on a Corrado. Would much rather take the 6k + the value of the Corrado and put it into something that comes fast from the factory. You're square into old BMW //M car money at that sort of budget!
  2. I believe they are still doing a pretty steady trade on these drive in / drive out conversions, yes. And no, I don't think they've gotten any cheaper unfortunately.
  3. I met a few Ice Grey Violet owners over the course of the weekend (after remarking that Ice Grey is a really rare colour and you never see them!) :) Anyway will PM you payment info. Cheers.
  4. Mate - I hope you've got deep pockets. These are serious not cheap cars to run - the S/RS tax is a known phenomenon! Make sure you do some research on servicing costs and stuff like brakes, etc.
  5. Happy new year all :)
  6. Also worth dropping a PM to easypops - he was sourcing brand new ones. Fitted one to my own car recently and it's perfect.

    Carbon Bonnets

I think LWS (http://www.lwsdesign.co.uk/index.php) are the main folks to speak to for a carbon bonnet. I have to say I would be astonished if they didn't help somewhat on the weight front. Having lifted my own Corrado bonnet many times, and then lifted a carbon one, the weight difference is astonishing. You can literally lift it with your little finger! I think in isolation however it would be nothing more than a novelty really (unless you went to town and made it part of a package of weight reduction) but still a pretty cool item to have regardless :)
  8. £41 seems pretty reasonable to be honest. Unfortunately the kind of juice required to jump start a car means a powerful battery - and the batteries aren't cheap unfortunately.
  9. Cam position sensor? Might also be worth checking and replacing the ignition leads?
  10. Hiya.. popped to my garage and got the headlight switch. I connected it up to my car and it's working fine (off/dipped/main as well as the dimmer dial). It's in good condition with only a small crack on the front (see the picture). If you're interested, would £20 posted work?
  11. Folks - got a brand new batch delivered today if anyone is after a set :) Cheers.
  12. Matt has responded already and going to get back in touch with his suppliers to see if he can buy some more stock :) But that could be a while away yet so I'll check out my spare and get back to you.. will try get over to my lock-up tomorrow.
  13. I've sent Matt a message on Facebook - managed to hunt him down! I do have the headlight switch from my VR which I swapped with one of Matt's.. there was nothing wrong with it, and I just swapped it as they were a good price and I know they're a weak spot. I could swap it and see if it still works OK if you're interested in it?
  14. We could really do with his contact so we could order more :(
  15. I think Matt may not have any stock left :(
  16. Red early Corrado on Sebrings (most likely a 1.8 16v) in Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday, not far from Good Hope hospital. Typically not in my Corrado, didn't wave either... :(
  17. The Audioscape ones were pretty bad for that, but it was the trade-off for getting some decent sized speakers up front.
  18. I'm happy to be corrected here, but I don't really see the need to drain oil and coolant? Especially the coolant... as if you drain the coolant, you'll be removing a liquid with (amongst other things) a corrosion inhibiter in it, leaving lots of exposed internal metal surfaces to corrode. I'd consider jacking it up onto axle stands if it's going to be stood as it won't do the tyres any good sitting in the same position for a year. I'd also consider putting in a fuel stabiliser additive to a full tank of fuel.
  19. Posted out all outstanding pairs today with the exception of STORM 2 (waiting to confirm address) and Jim Bowen (waiting for payment and address info). Cheers all :)

    Inside boot trim

Yep - two foam blocks, to (as you say) stop the parcel shelf rattling. Sadly they're now obsolete from VW.
