watchmenan hour longer than it needed to be 5/10
i enjoyed the storyline and ass kicking scenes, i just found myself looking round the living room when shimmery blue boy was getting all profound, i'd have found it more engaging if it was a wee bit shorter.
-
always wonder what happened to my last valver G855 H0N, went to a guy in st austell but hes not regular on here.
i know where the others are.

looking good dave, fancy setting up something similar myself when i eventually paint my wheels, do you intend to give the lacquer a go as well?
that B&D workbench of yours takes some abuse
-
looking good, know what you mean about 1 job forward 3 jobs back :)
seems like a nice finish on the wheels, the photos are misleading, almost seem a bluey colour.
-
bled full brake system again, only tiny bubbles out but pedal feels better.
-
yep 98 all th way, would go higher if i knew who sold any locally.
-
well if you can smell fuel its not a starvation problem, maybe it's running too rich.
-
no bother, but it is difficult to diagnose without all the correct kit and being stood over the engine.
i'd check all the easy stuff first, so as above check the induction system for leaks, also make sure the various slim vacuum pipes connectors are all connected to 'something'
make sure the various electrical connectors round the throttle body, to the side of the metering head, the sensors on the side of the cylinder head, the ecu and the lambda are all connected.
if it's none of the above then there's a fault with either the mechanical or the electrical elements of the system, i'd replace the lambda first, when was that last done?
-
ok that sensor plate controls the fuel by measuring air flow, more air equals higher plate equals more fuel.
on a 2ltr there's electrohydraulic actuator that can limit the fuel supply to injector, which is what seems to be happening here, unfortunately there's a number of causes.
how'd the issue start?
-
really difficult diagnosing this kinda fault remotely mate, what exactly did you do with the plate, undo the inlet elbow, lifted it up and down, then refixed the induction elbox and it started fine?
-
mmmmm can OSV/ Kev note me as ditherer please :)
i'm split between refurbing my vento cups and these bad boys....
-
put tax and new plates on, just gotta wait till sunday now for a drive :onfire:
/\ have you checked the thermotime wullie and the cold start valve, both could cause of rough running when cold.
-
yeh man they look sweet.
-
Fugluly?
-
truly some cracking motors in this thread :notworthy:
-
bugger, i forgot i'd left it there.
-
/\ don't forget the bulkhead behind the dash
-
bumpage :)
so, seems best options for a meet then;
1. rr session, maybe through philie if you're back? or
2. just select a sat/ sunday soon, a decent central location with a car park and maybe some grub nearby?
i'm in for either :)
-
 soon be time to get that meet sorted :Dhey Dan, couldn't get it taxed at post office this afternoon, have to go to dvla office on monday. looking forward to first drive as pretty much complete suspension and brake overhaul so will be taking it easy first few miles
yeh, i'll give that thread a bump now.
-
well at least you got a taster journey, and its good to sort the crack pipe early i guess
guess it depends how bad it is, am hoping mine is surface only and can be taken back to bare metal and a repaint, maybe i'll have to learn how to weld tho, could get interesting...
-
/\ nah mate, mine has a wee bit there too and have since cleared the mud out, most things aren't terminal, it just gets more difficult and pricey to repair, need to get mine sorted properly tho soon.
nice one on the vr purchase btw 8)
-
i thought they were numbered 1 to 4 over the exhaust cam and 5 to 8 over the inlet cam.
i always just tightened them all up progressively to limit bend of the cams, sure someone with haynes handy can confirm.
-
fitted near side 288 caliper, cleaned under arch whilst at it, then bled front half system.
hopefully get tax sorted this afternoon and maybe a drive later :)
