  1. no bother, but it is difficult to diagnose without all the correct kit and being stood over the engine.

    i'd check all the easy stuff first, so as above check the induction system for leaks, also make sure the various slim vacuum pipes connectors are all connected to 'something' :lol:

    make sure the various electrical connectors round the throttle body, to the side of the metering head, the sensors on the side of the cylinder head, the ecu and the lambda are all connected.

    if it's none of the above then there's a fault with either the mechanical or the electrical elements of the system, i'd replace the lambda first, when was that last done?

  2. ok that sensor plate controls the fuel by measuring air flow, more air equals higher plate equals more fuel.

    on a 2ltr there's electrohydraulic actuator that can limit the fuel supply to injector, which is what seems to be happening here, unfortunately there's a number of causes.

    how'd the issue start?

  3. bumpage :)

    so, seems best options for a meet then;

    1. rr session, maybe through philie if you're back? or

    2. just select a sat/ sunday soon, a decent central location with a car park and maybe some grub nearby?

    i'm in for either :)

  4. :clap: soon be time to get that meet sorted :D

    hey Dan, couldn't get it taxed at post office this afternoon, have to go to dvla office on monday. looking forward to first drive as pretty much complete suspension and brake overhaul so will be taking it easy first few miles :lol:

    yeh, i'll give that thread a bump now.

  5. well at least you got a taster journey, and its good to sort the crack pipe early i guess :lol:

    guess it depends how bad it is, am hoping mine is surface only and can be taken back to bare metal and a repaint, maybe i'll have to learn how to weld tho, could get interesting...

  6. /\ nah mate, mine has a wee bit there too and have since cleared the mud out, most things aren't terminal, it just gets more difficult and pricey to repair, need to get mine sorted properly tho soon.

    nice one on the vr purchase btw 8)
