  1. Merry Christmas Everyone. Nothing Corrado related specifically but I did bet one of those magnetic stainless bowls with a rubber bottom for putting screws in as you take them out and a led head torch thing so I can see what I’m looking at, which is always a bonus 👍.
  2. Off the top of the oil filter housing for oil temp and pressure. you shouldn’t ever really have stage 3 fans come in which I think is the black sensor on the thermostat housing 115 degrees shouldn’t get over that really. Mine having a turbo does get warm quick and hot if you are pushing it, to keep temps down I’ve fitted upgraded 12” fans I can manually switch on any time and a mocal oil cooler added on to the original oil cooler set up. I also run turbo oil which can take more heat. On a motorway thrash water can sit around 100 and oil 110 to 115. A lot depends on outside temp though and weather or not I put the fans on. But in this weather I’ll get similar temps to you maybe 90 on my cluster Pottering about. In the summer though my fans come on as soon as I’ve idled a min at a junction.
  3. Pretty sure when Talking to Vince and watching what goes off when he plugs all his stuff in for a Dino/diagnostics. oil temp on cluster pretty accurate water temp on cluster 8-10 degrees lower on cluster than actual Merry Christmas everyone !!!
  4. FYI at 5 degrees outside Temp under normal driving, not track/spirited yours would seem normal water temp wise you shouldn’t hear the fans kick in. just wondered what the oil temp was
  5. I’m hoping I get it all back together except the interior over the break so I can get the glass sorted in the new year. I've spent the last 2 days with a bloody polisher in my hands. Scuff marks all over it where they haven’t finished it off properly after fine sanding, I started doing it just where seals and stuff go so I could avoid getting gunk in the seals if I left it till later. Unfortunately my OCD kicked in and I’m basically doing a 3 stage polish from the doors back! ffs 😂 I’m determined however not to do any sanding/Flatting myself.
  6. It’s got 3 of the 4 left, think I’m going to give each one a bit of glue anyway so they don’t brake off and it starts flapping about. Body shop sprayed it first, don’t know what with, It looked a bit naf so I lightly sanded it with 1000 and sprayed it with Upol satin black. Nothing reacted, time will tell how long it stays on. Front grill is a bit dodgey cause of all the bugs and crap hitting it.
  7. True, but I think it better if one is fitted or something in the thread otherwise your relying on the brass to aluminium insert thread to seal it, hopefully forever.
  8. I think I have fitted with a copper washer before though I fitted Wahler fan switch 6017.95D
  9. Fitted mine with some pipe thread Sealant. Have you had the front wings sprayed again mate
  10. I have been doing stuff but not much to report. sorted the wiring and most stuff on the hatch just the lights, glass and plinth to go on. I had an old plinth in good condition I managed to get off one of many a hatch I’ve took home. Thought I’d give it a spray upside down, it came out really well with nothing able to use it as a landing pad, it’s now ready ready to go on but I’ll wait until I’ve stopped going in the back so much. I put the wiring back in the drivers door after a bit or wrappIng repair. It is possible to do this without taking any plugs off and pull the wires into the car and back the way they came out, either way it takes a while. Next up buff the roof and sunroof. Then put the sunroof back and so on.
  11. If you are running standard induction, I wouldn’t think there’s much point as long as your fans are working on all speeds. I ran a standard VR6 fo 9 years and 30k miles without any oil temp issues. I’d go for a quality oem oil cooler
  12. Them polish parts are quality I got some last month for the new bonnet. I bet you beat me to getting them on 😂
  13. Could be the motor on the fan too
  14. Something wrong there then, I’d put a proper fuse in and see if there is power to the switch. if the switch is goosed you can get one of these mk3 controllers, the switch is basically the same just upside down on the other side. I used one to fix mine. https://www.heritagepartscentre.com/uk/1h0820045c-fresh-air-and-heater-controls.html
  15. You need to check the fuse first and then see what’s getting power. If it was the thermo fuse on the fan that went it would work but only on speed four. So I’d say fuse then the actual switch to test next. In the switch is a copper tab that may need tweaking slightly.
  16. Don’t let AP Tyres near your centre caps. I got my speedlines on for winter too, sadly I can’t use them at the moment
  17. Thanks for all your nice comments by the way guys
  18. Nothing much to enjoy so far I’m afraid. Spent Saturday going upto Newcastle way and seeing Chris, yet another tailgate to buy + a few bits. Spent Sunday removing the glass rubber and cleaning it. Gets right to the last foot and there is a nick in the rubber, lots of swear words followed. Can you believe it? I’ve more have snagged it somehow and put a little cut in it. Furious it was 16:30 on Sunday and I looked around, a whole weekend and achieved nothing and I need another bloody tailgate. Can’t even think about windscreens and glass till I get this sorted. At this rate Cressa I’m going to make your restoration look fast. Had it back nearly 3 weeks and I’ve got most of the hatch together 😂😂 pathetic
  19. Or a bar of soap from Lush. God that stuff sinks
