If you're after a charge I would try jabba sport or jmr (16vg60 on here) One of them may have one kicking around they can sell you

Either pull the king lead from the coil or the wires from the hall sender on the distributor. Then turn the car over for about 10 seconds. Re connect the wires and away you go

I have euro parts and gsf near me. Gsf being shut today doesn't help as they have the longer ones. I thought I had read that people use the shorter ones if they have a cooler as I do. As its a bosch filter it should be good quality so will give it a go. Just wanted someone else to confirm my thoughts

Hi guys I managed to damage my oil filter whilst fitting it. The only choice i had was to go to euro parts to get a filter. The one they have listed and supplied is shorter than the OEM one i put on the car. I suspect it is designed for a G40... My brother in law is a VW mechanic and says it will be ok for me to use. I would like someone to confirm this before it fit it and risk killing the car.

By the passenger light there is a trumpet shaped piece with a bolt going through it. Undo the 7mm bolt and the cable can be released and pulled through the guides.

This is exactly what mine does. Only at low speed going either forward or reverse

If its been used for a fair while and there are MOTs to prove it then i would say the car is safe to purchase. Although i would definitely use this as a bargaining tool.

I would attempt to contact the dvla direct... They may give info about it. The text check things can be wrong about such things. Mine showed as being written off in the past. But my mot done last week doesn't show it on the dvla generated part of the mot form as the box isn't checked

Get a set of top mounts. Doesn't matter if they're pattern parts and pour a poly mix between the rubber and the metal cone on the top mount. Someone did it on here believe it was one of the guys with a 20vt

As you state there is no power to the horns when measuring across the pins when the button is pressed. Check the voltage at each pin putting the negative probe on the battery negative terminal and pressing the horn. If you get a voltage on one pin for each horn then the relay and circuit are ok. You will have a broken earth wire somewhere. Just run a wire from each negative pin on the horns and earth them anywhere on the chassis as an easy fix

What model do you have?? Some speedos are vacuum fed and early ones are mechanical. My first thing to check would be the connections on the back of the clocks

If my memory is correct. Remove the trim on the inside of the tailgate and you should be able to release the clips from there
