Dubpower manifolds have a good reputation.
-
Just been on the VR6OC and we're both on the list! haha....... I dunno, there doesn't seem to be many attending UD from here so maybe a good in-between......... I'll sit on it for a couple of days I think.
-
Are you going to the RR day then Sean?
-
Thanks Mic. Yeah saw the RR day. I was looking to go to Ultimate Dubs on the 15th March, so not sure if I could push two long trips within a couple of weeks tbh.
-
Anyone got a postcode? May be tempted to venture the 3 1/2 hours each way..............
-
For future reference, I ordered them from TPS today. Top mounts (357 412 331A) £21.46 + VAT each. These are negative bearings though. Bearings are (1J0 412 279) and are £7.45 + VAT each. I also got the top plate which the top nut secures to, although don't have part number unfortunately. These were £7.42 + VAT each.

White maskers? Is that the not so good version of black maskers? Better known as Harry black maskers or HBM......

Top work as usual Jim, yours will actually be "rust free" when finished, rather than just assumed as most seem to. :thumbleft: What product are you using for repair to the underseal when its all done? Very interested to know what is closest to OE so it blends for when I do mine. Also, where did you manage to source the clutch master cylinder in the end? looks great!

Water getting in!! Not your usual!! **Pic update**

Wow, thats a huge amount of water! Take the carpet up, as I know you said the front is dry, but it could well be running under the sound deadening and collecting in the rear well, especially if you're parking facing up hill. Since the sunroof cover is out too, I'd get a hose or bucket of water and see just how much is coming through the sunroof. Get a metal coat hanger, stretch it out and push it gently down your sunroof drain hoses. Could well be a blockage that is causing it to run in from there mate. -
Ooh, good site! Bookmarked.

:cowboy: In fairness, I did exactly the same............. :silent:

Nice one Matt, all looks very familiar!

If I get time this week I'll pop into a local place and see what they can do. They're much softer plastic though so I'm not sure how good they will be as the 3D plastic is quite brittle. I was looking at getting some of the door pin surrounds made too as mine are toast. If I don't get time and Jim is willing, that'll be a good as he obviously already has experience with them.

Ahh I saw 3 bolts out and assumed! Doh! Agree with Sean though, I always have the jack with a block of wood under the front mount on the Subframe.
-
Good to know, thanks mate. :thumbleft:
-
You don't need to, and shouldn't remove the centre 13mm bolt. That's what is holding the cross member on which in turn secures the front engine mount. Subframe drops = front of engine drops.

You mean the quarter turn screws Rob? If so, I could do with some too. Mine are all present, but a few are a little worse for wear.

Got some dimensions, all approximate. The base is H90 x W70 x D40 increasing to 80mm at the bottom where it curves outward. Mirror itself is H75 + 15 for the alarm light at the bottom x L230 x D38mm. The screen is at quite a sharp angle like the corrado, and the bottom of the base to the flat face of the mirror is 100mm. Sean, I couldn't see a gasket between the base and the screen, although there is a slight gap between the two so its possible. I didn't want to attempt to remove it as there's no obvious grub screw or anything so think it clips into place. Obviously don't want to try unless I have to for fear of breaking it! If theres anything else you need let me know. :thumbleft:

I know mate, I've been wondering if I made the right decision but I've bought them now. I had a ride in somersetdub's VR on the bilstein setup though, and I remember thinking it sat perfectly and the handling was superb. I'll see how I get on with them as I'll have everything ready to fit them (I also bought new lower securing nuts & bolts btw) within a week or so, so I'll get em on sooner rather than later.
