  1. Finally got the chance to look at why my VR dumped all its coolant last week. Thought it was the rad (got one on its way to me) but it turns out to be the small water pipe between the crack pipe and oil filter housing. Does anyone have one, or know if VW still do them and rough price? Cheers Rick
  2. Yup, that's what I got (polished version)
  3. If this hasn't gone, I'll take it. Cheers Rick
  4. I'm using tapatalk as well, no problems for me either.
  5. Not had mine, but looking at the pics it does look like they could be the right length, just bent in the wrong place. How do they measure in the length of each one compared to the originals? Especially as the shape of the straps as the are, the tank would look to scrape on the ground at that depth :confused4:
  6. Car looks great :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

  8. Hi, Just to clarify, you will let me know when I need to pay, or do I need to pay already? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  9. One here as well http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=82283
  10. As has been mentioned, the lack of popularity when new was not the car, it was the price :(
  11. Welcome to the forum. I've got Lupo wipers on mine, no idea if they are better than the TT ones, but they work very well. If the bodywork is otherwise sound, and the paint just weathered pink, I'm sure a proper detailing session will bring the paint back to life without the expense of a respray.
  12. Thanks for the replies. So basically, the car end of the hoses are the same for all, it is only the caliper end that varies?. I have goodrich braided hoses to go on the standard VR rear brakes, and bought some braided lines from swampy for the standard front brakes. Having read some of the issues with swampy's hoses, and incorrect banjos etc, they seem to just be dustbin fodder. Having said that, I want to go for the 288 front setup anyway, so those hoses are no use anyway.
  13. If you definately mean "module", rather than "modulator", then those pics you link to refer to the ABS ECU.
  14. Hi mate, is 280 the standard setup?
  15. Anyone selling the parts to do this: Callipers Carriers Discs Pads Hoses I know used discs/pads not ideal, but I don't know if it is the setup I want to end up with, so don't want to spend on new bits only to change my mind. If I decide the upgrade is good enough, new discs and pads would follow. Thanks Rick
  16. I've been trawling through various posts on here to try and figure out what hoses I would need to complete a 288 caliper/carrier/disc conversion. The problem is, nearly all threads end with ex-member swampy saying he can do them, and the info then stops. Having no intention of dealing any further with swampy, can anyone point me in the direction of what hoses I would need, ebay link(s) or other links would be much appreciated. Thanks Rick
  17. I would imagine they are referring to the ABS pump, as the valves on it will kind of modulate the brakes during anti lock operation, but worth confirming.
  18. hmm, some jiggery pokery going on with those posts I guess..... lol
  19. Someone asked a price above, maybe others are waiting for the reply.
  20. Thumbnails showing for all pics in this thread for me, using the free tapatalk version.
  21. I was out at Sherfield on Loddon Wyevale garden centre on Sunday. When I came out there was a guy and his wife/girlfriend peering in the widnows of the car. They appologies ... lol .... and commented on how good it looked and how he had always like them :)

    Arch liners

Thanks for the replies all. Some food for thought. At the moment, I have trimmed the liners to overcome my issues, but they are mostly in place as they should be.
