Yeah, that's exactly how it did work. Didn't use it to do the nut back up.

I used an electric impact wrench on my top mounts. Worked a treat (I keep one in the car for wheel changes etc. worth every penny of the £30 they cost.

Hi, as above, looking for the rods that connect to the door lock pins (that are on the top of the door cards on late interiors), need both sides. Anyone got them? Cheers Rick

Looks really nice. Wouldn't relocating the battery to the boot free up some cooler air options for the intake?
-
Yeah, the plastics are different (handles and door pull surrounds etc) I have some early cards with late pods in the garage, so they do interchange. Early window switches are on the door card, late style window switches are in the pods. Late style mirror switch is built into the door grab handle, early style mirror switch is separate in the card.

If there is still a pair available, can I have a pair?

As above, after some (genuine if possible) Speedline centre caps. Cheers Rick

MOT passed today so back on the road after being sorned since September last year. Was good to get behind the wheel again :)
-
Got to agree, those are some epic skills.

Pm received. Just shoot me your address and I'll pop it in the post over the weekend. It is already cut, so I could get a ring spanner on it, but the cut was right at the sensor end so as long as it can be. I don't want anything for it, it's just dustbin fodder from my perspective :)

Got my spoiler working today :)

OK, thanks. I'll start with the air leak and work my way up.

I've just changed the lambda on mine, you can have the plug/lead off the old one if you want it?

Getting the car ready for its MOT with various bits of work. Water leak fixed, Lambda VAGCOM error cleared up, NS rear caliper changed, 288 front brake upgrade with new discs and pads, handbrake sorted. Last thing that has cropped up is a stored code for 00561, Mixture Adaptation - Static adaptation limit (add) not succeeded. I'm assuming this is likely to cause an emissions failure? I also seem to have a bit of a stutter on accelartion when taking a rigth hand bend at anything other than a crawl. Would both of these (stutter and error code) point towards a leak on the intake side? I gather there are a few possibilities, but the cornering stutter would make me think that the engive shift on the cornering is flexing the intake a bit and causing a leak (even though I can't find anything obvious). any one else had a similar thing?

Gear little vid :)

Looks nice and tidy. Good choice in colour :)

Yeah, I think it is part no 535 868 503 A 01C that is needed, which I believe is obsolete now.

Handbreak tunnel problem, not the normal plastic cover probs.
Tigerfish replied to st4stokie's topic in Drivetrain
Yeah, the mount where the stud fits (that the handbrake fixes onto) broke away on mine. Initially managed to wedge it back in and bend the metal back over but it did it again. Ended up having to tack a weld onto the stud and tunnel to fix it. -
Glad everyone is ok :(

The threads are well buggered on most of those. Did the new ones do up properly?
