Glad too have been of service! That's what the forum is all about! 8)

Look on the bright side - it wasn't Hose 2, they were around £45 (not sure if that inc Vat) each!! Should take too long to fix once you've got all the bits. I had the Top rad and Hose 2 go within a couple of months of each other, replaced them, and then bought a set of Samcos on a group buy and changed the lot! Piece of mind - priceless! 8)

I don't really like motorhomes but I'd love that one!!! 8)

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
colinstubbs replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Last couple of weeks fitted group-buy Revotec fan and CrazyDave bracketry, stripped, cleaned and re-assembled spoiler mech so that now works again with a 10amp fuse, was blowing 15's - the previous owner (11 years ago) had obviously upped the fuse rate!!!! Replaced number plate bulb in prep for MOT in Aug. Still need to change front discs, adjust handbrake cables, and replace front tyres. I guess today will be a brake day after sorting tyres online and checking out insurance for 1st Aug! :gag: -
:nono: This may help.

Whats the best MPG anyones had out of a Corrado?
colinstubbs replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
I got 48.5 mph in a 1.8 valver with spacesaver on 85 miles of A-roads and Motorways, did creep up to 60ish a couple of times oops! Usually get around 34 mpg with mixed driving. -
And any documentation or letters you get sent by the other person's insurance company simply forward to you company.

It should be around 10 mins, the yellow sensor just turns the fan on/off according to the heat of the head during that period. I've always wondered but never asked where the hell the fan controller/relay(s) is/are on the 1.8 valvers? On the VRs and 2.0 valvers at least they are obvious, on that bracket in front of the coolant reservoir! I assume they control the time. The yellow sensor is just a temperature sensitive earth and acts just like earthing the wire on the head as long as it gets power.

I think you could be right there I'll have a look at it to see if I can get a number off it.... 1919195210 or 1919195218 i think. :salute:

Front of the head, end by the oil filler cap there is a yellow(ish  ) sensor, looking like a big nut with a spade connector on the top. This controls fan run-on for 10 mins after the ignition is turned off. If it has shorted inside/failed some other way the fan will just run all the time or not at all. If you disconnect the spade terminal the fan should stop, if you then short it onto the head the fan should start again, if the fans runs with the sensor disconnected it's not that sensor at fault. If the fan runs on after the 10 mins and stops when the sensor is disconnected the sensor is at fault. They're £10-15 IIRC from the Stealers and the number is stamped on it! fan run on sensor (Large).jpg[/attachment:183y772h]

Has your 'rado been mistaken for anything?
colinstubbs replied to Stevo-M's topic in General Car Chat
I had an arguement with a chap at work who was convinced the new(at the time) Ford Focus shape was based on a Corrado because it had the same/similar silouette!! Yeah like a front, a rear, wheels and a roof! :nono:   -
Just so you know I'm away for a week so you prob won't get a reply until Wednesday next week if you need them. Just PM me and we can go from there. 8) Colin
