Try HERE best price I found for Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 195/50/15s
  4. Not a C but on Thursday 13th I was followed by a tidy looking red Scirocco for a fair few miles on the M40, after letting him out, before i left for the M6 in convoy with my mate's Octavia, we exchanged waves  reg. was ** CT6 **. Anyone on here know it?
  5. Peanut butter/oil is cheap and effective it would appear HERE
  6. It's looking good - good price too, Result
  7. Pond liner and ty-wraps? Bit agricultural but that's not a problem eh!?
  8. Sorted a leak through the passenger door membrane and fitted a shiney new chromed unlatch lever, still got the plastic one on the drivers side though at the mo!
  9. Have you got a yellow sensor/switch on the head or a black one? Jim Hughes had a similar problem and it was due to a black sensor being fitted which has the wrong resistance in this thread
  10. If the original plastic on the pin has been replaced the door has probably dropped so hits the pin rather than closing nicely over it. Try a new pin and shimming the top hinge forward to lift the door. Loosen the top bolt and insert shimmage - simple (ish!) It makes a hell of a difference and closing the door becomes a pleasure again instead of a wince-inducing trial  8)
  11. Do you park it at an angle at all?? Your drain hoses may well be blocked, my headliner's out I'll take a pic for you......................... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfIMG_6155 (Large).JPG[/attachment:10940jqz] IMG_6156 (Large).JPG[/attachment:10940jqz] Running some wire up the rear( !!!) or down the fronts may help. Bentley manual suggests old speedo cables, 'cause we've all got them laying about
  12. I'm guessing you'll have to source the requisite exhaust parts and a new rear bumper mate.
  13. I replaced three exhaust rubbers having noticed on saturday when I did the fuel pipe that they wouldn't past the MOT (tomorrow!!) and then.........I cleaned the nasty bits of tar off the exhaust tailpipe.........not a problem......but then.. I found I'd cleaned the inside as well :cuckoo:04082009357 (Large).jpg[/attachment:2fhm0g90]
  14. It's just a logical sequence, nothing taxing engineering-wise!!!
  15. I've had no issues with my Milltek save banging it hard on a bloody vicious speed bump which led to a bit of welding 8)
  16. Result  Cheap, simple and effective!!! 8)
  17. You may be right - but I laughed my bloody ar$e off!!
  18. Yesterday I made some wooden ramps so I could get under my Cs rear-end and change the fuel pipe from the fuel pump to the accumulator. I eventually got the accumulator end off but the banjo on the other end had corroded to the cap nut and I couldn't shift it, so I though sod it I'll put it all back together and take it to the garage.......as long as it doesn't leak. It leaked like a good'un so I had nothing to loose and trashed the old pipe and finally got it changed. Of course on initial fitment it leaked so i reseated everything and tried again.....it leaked and i realised the union that the banjo nut attached to was loose on the pump so a deft tweak there and i was home and dry. It also became rapidly apparent that the plastic clamp for the accumulator had broken so I hope that the quality Ty-wrap-ing of it to the pump housing will pass the MOT next week! I also need some more exhaust rubbers too :bad-words: All in all with ramp building etc it took barely 4 1/2 hours    I was ready for beers and the Tri-Nations rugger, where the South Africans whipped the All Blacks ar$es, what a great result! I even blagged a lift home when I missed the last train home - Superb day/evening!!
  19. Your doors have probably dropped - you could try shimming the top hinge to bring the back end up a touch, also if the PTFE collars on the door-pins are Fubarred then buy new pins from VW, they're not too expensive.
