Apparently Venom Motorsport's 'biggest selling budget coilovers' Here The phrase 'budget coilover' makes them sound like one to avoid :nono: although I may be corrected if someone on here has them and rates them. Not holding my breath though :gag:

Trouble with heating the trim up is it draws more of the oils out of the trim gradually compounding the problem over time. Linseed oil should work - can't do any harm to try  8) post if it worksm - might do this myself sometime.

Unless the fuse has broken and not blown and somehow manages to make and break contacts it sounds to me like a wiring problem. Try looking behing the fuse box and see if the wiring is routed correctly and not obviously chaffing anywhere.

Also have a look at Best Buy Tyres

Strange Problem-- Hand brake off reves climb to 3.5K!?
colinstubbs replied to Twiss's topic in Engine Bay
Handbrake cables and throttle cable are miles apart. Howabout the wire for the handbrake microswitch (for the dash warning light) is shorting somewhere and affecting things??? No idea how this would work but more likely than cables fouling! -
Haven't got any numbers but the rear badge from a Mk2 Golf doesn't fit!! I still have it!!

Red M-reg in Maidstone parked outside the tennis courts on the Tonbridge road Friday 29 May, 1230hrs. Looks like a bit of a project car - it's suffering with the dreaded red paint bloom/fade and had a bit of rear end action :(
