  1. The Wiki is down at the mo, but it is possible without the dash removed just bloody fiddly. Do a search for matrix removal or similar there's loads out there.
  2. Have you cleaned up your switch contacts?
  3. I suspect if you remove it and give it a good soak with WD40 or similar, work it good and proper, let any excess drain and then refit, that should sort it, if not it'll cost that £15!
  4. Really don't dig those over stretched tyres.

  6. 5/10 Kip must try harder ...............it's not [strike:3b2fcvym]rocket science[/strike:3b2fcvym] geology
  7. You may want to edit that boost monkey!!!!!
  8. I really dislike the modern design of headlights, big drawn out diamond or teardrop shapes, I thought Peugeot were probably the worst offenders :pukeright: But not they're not the only ones. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf308BIOFLEX_0707SM002[1].jpg[/attachment:1bqv0wx9]image25550_a.jpg[/attachment:1bqv0wx9]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfimage25545_a.jpg[/attachment:1bqv0wx9] What a waste of plastic!!!! I love my Corrado :luvlove: and I am a sad tw@t! It's still generally the nicest car in the car park!!

Instead of a retrim could you not use some of the interior leather spray stuff people have used on their seats? 8)
  11. It's definately the '......ah yes still the nicest looking car in the carpark' thing. 8) That's partly the respray and partly as mentioned before all the silver or black stuff and colours that are bland as feck these days! I also like forgetting where I've parked it and looking for the space that looks empty cos it's lower than most other stuff!! (an' it ain't that low!!  ) Also the one i spotted booting up the outside lane last Sunday looked great getting large in the mirrors!!
  12.  Sorted - 'those connectors' were the choccy-block connectors I'm guessing?
  13. I'm running Phillips +80% H4s and Osram +90% H3s and I took some pictures of them with stock and upgraded loom. You get a lot of glare photographing the lights head-on with a camera but you should be able to see the difference in output. 18 yr old OEM wiring on the left, 10 year old Loom Upgrade on the right... passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfsnow and lights 015 (Large).jpg[/attachment:1ryv24f2] Corrado92.pdfsnow and lights 016 (Large).jpg[/attachment:1ryv24f2] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfsnow and lights 017 (Large).jpg[/attachment:1ryv24f2] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfsnow and lights 018 (Large).jpg[/attachment:1ryv24f2] snow and lights 022 (Large).jpg[/attachment:1ryv24f2]
  14. If you get a decent loom it's well worth it. Had mine nearly 10 years and had one blown fuse. If you regularly (every autumn) spray the connections with wd40 or similar you shouldn't get any probs. I didn't last year but a full disconnect, clean and tweak of plugs sorted it, should be good for another 10 years. Why spend £40-odd on bulbs and then run them at 9.5volts :cuckoo: :cuckoo:
  15. Dear Supercharged, Its not and they do. It is not a personal letter from a DCI, it just has its name on it. A DCI does have much better things to do, hence some civvie or newbie cop would have created/ammended some generic template. Cheers, Mr. Policeman.  Was thinking the same thing myself
  16. I've thought about the ultraleds ones too but the aceparts ones sound a better bet. Should give a better spread. Cheers
  17. Howabout These ones? Or the Rest? 8)
  18. To boost the poor side light output VW put in a 'dim-dip' resistor which allows the dipped headlamp beam (H4) to be dimly lit to assist. With the ignition off the H4 goes off leaving just the side lights for parking (which is what side lights are for really anyhow, parking at the SIDE of the road) If an Uprated headlamp loom is fitted the 'dim-dip' resistor has to be disconnected hence crap side lights, although you could fit LED bulbs. I believe pianowire has 5w Luxeon Star LEDs fitted but I'm not sure how you'd actually do that, I'd like to know!!!

Prague is awesome - Top tip.... look up while you're walking round the old city or you'll miss all the very cool architecture up there. 8)
  20. Modded rear shelf supports will be a new one!!!!
  21. I got a Topran pattern tank from a local vw parts place and a pattern cap and it all works fine, plug fitted and it was much cheaper.
  22. Jonathan I'll not be sending my heater controls to you until this cold snap has passed, I'm sure you'll understand, I hope this isn't a problem! Colin damage whhel and snow 015 (Large).jpg[/attachment:2dtki2pe]
