  1. VR6, The crystal clear lights are on my list! I am going to get all four front light crystal as nobady else seams to bother doing it. You can get the small front lights in crystal as well and I still have my original grill. It needs fater outer rims on those BBS desperatly. Which is why I'm selling all my VW stuff(see for sale section). But it looks so high at the back so they may have to wait untill I've risked some RaceLand chepo(£279) coilovers. They carn't be so bad that £278 isn't a bargain!
  2. I'm know expert or mechanic and would usually not have a clue. But it does sound exactly like what my cars acelaration was like when the timing was all f@*ked up. All hesitant and then all of a sudden a bit of power then it goes hesitant again! I had just bough my car and I got the cam belt changed. When I got it back it drove like bag of nails. They had set the timming to what VW say it should be and given it back to me. The timing seamed way off! When setup propaly at a Bosch tunning garage it was fine again! I don't know the reason for the timing on my G60 being so out. Perapse a previous owner has fitted a high lift cam or the chip! Good Luck (maintance is a BIT*H!!!!!!!!!!! :evil: )
  3. Cheers guy's! Its is very tidy, only two stone chips! :) I've not polished it for those pictures either. Apart from a bit of a polish thats as clean as it gets. I put the single headlamp grill on this morning......not sure about it, may be different and stick with the qaud lamp grill. So you all aprove of it? Seeing as it was instead of the much wanted corrado. 8)
  4. G60, I didn't notice I had one of those valve things untill I saw one for sale at inters this year. I was going to buy one but when I went back to my car to get my bank card I noticed that I already had one!!

  7. I remember the peugeot 309 brooklands, rare, green and black? My favourite non VW fast hatch is a Lancia delta intergrale evo. They where like rallye's all lhd and had huge arches. I know it had more than 150bhp but thats just unfair! It could be a restricted one for insurance purposes!! :lol: :lol:
  8. I saw the giro valve thing's on Ridgeways stall at inter's and was going to buy one but I had already spent to much money. Then when I got back to my car I noticed that I already have one!!! sorted!!!! I dont really know how much of a preformance gain I get from it. I dont think its much but for £35 what can you expect?
  9. I've been found out. :lol: :oops: Its going to get there in the end. After the above is done, which is all I can manage at the moment. I'll be looking into head work and shirik cam! Then when I'm bored of that and have won the lottery :lol: it'll be time for the 16vG60!!!!!! :evil: PDmotorsports G6016v is the one for me!!!!!!
  10. G60, I reckon the ford's we get over here are going to be different. What sort of models had 30lb injectors fitted? 62mm that a bit extreme for me!! G60 love the picture of your Corrado with out the front end on! Looks mean as something from Mad Max 10 :lol: !
  11. Its all geting checked out at the moment. (to much oil in boost pipes but it shouldn't be the oil seals on charger). If I had a pitstopdevelopments ported charger, SNS chip with my current spec full supersprint exhaust system, replacment filter, moded airbox, rallye intercooler, samco hoseing(not sue if count? :lol: ), funny little metal valve thingy near oil breather and a 65mm pulley would I then be close to 15psi? What will I gain by puting in 30lb injectors and how much for them? they sound easy to fit? When all the above is carried out will I reqiuire a custom mapped SNS chip or will an off the shelve do? Sorry for all the qestions but I've got to get it sorted and buy thing's in the best order. Cheers Dubcharged,
  12. You need as close to £3000 as you can manage to get. As for insurance shop around more most company's only charge an extra £100 more for a G60 than a 16v. Try HIC! I pay £800 on a LHD Golf G60. I am 23, clean licence(briefly!) and I have no NCB as it was used on a motorbike(carnt tranfer it)! Third party fire+theft, okay postcode and cat 1 alarm.
  13. I don't really take it to 6000rpm anyway. I just want it to have power like my 8v scirocco had between 2000-3000rpm. If fiting a 65mm pulley do I need better injectors? I have heard that there not direct replacment it involves some work on your head to make them fit? Who's that SNS rep on here? I could do with sorting the plan out with him as I'm going to use one of his chips.
  14. I know this has probably been asked a million times, but not by me! The question is! Is the extra power you get from a 65mm rather than 68mm worth the extra strain on my charger? I have what seem's to be a 70mm pulley(maybe 68mm) and a jabasport chip from 1999. They both need replacing as my car isn't fast enough low down in the rev's. The PLAN!! SNS chip from pitstop developments ported charger done also at pitstop developments(this may have to wait a few mounths) a 65mm pulley.
  15. BeavisJem, I feel for you as its hard to find a perfect one because there's not a huge amount around. I spent ages looking for the right corrado! What you want in my opinion is defo a G60. There ace to mod, there's a real enthusiasm involved with everyone that owns a G-Lader G40's, G60's, etc. Don't be scared off by the story's of super charger's blowing and service costs. I reckon its all blown out of proportion. My perfect corrado's spec- G60 late J plate 1992 (ABS, grill, bonnet bulg, flush fog's, etc) Essential FSH including + charger rebuild's. Black interior. (not into the grey dash in the one's with grey interior's) Blue, black or grey. (white and red less desirable but cheaper) under 100K but not esential. At the time of looking I wanted a standard one but now that I have a chip and pulley. I would look for one with it done, as sooner or later you'll want it done. Buy off somebody who know's about G60's. Not some fool who's had it since new and has never heard of a charger rebuilt.(I mett a few of those!) Be prepared to look about and don't be scared of missing out on one if it not quite right. After all if your into your Dubs you want a MINTER!!!! good luck!
  16. I've not heard of a G60 with 250+bhp without it being a 16v. I reckon if thats the power your aiming for. A 16v conversion would be the way to go. Checkout Bahn Bremner's website or PDmotorsport's.

  18. Henny, It look's a lot better than it did on Saturday at Demon Tweaks. It was covered in brake dust and them old front tires you had on the front where shreddded! Glad to see the wheels I sold you look so spot on. I prefer the early bonnet with late lights, grill, spots. So that make 3.
  19. I think I got it around the end of march. Its sorted 100k, FSH, charger done, etc. Already done about 10K in it as I do a lot of traveling. It hasn't had anthing wrong with it apart from the day after I got it. The bottom pulley bolt snaped but that was fixed within a week. Luckly no damage to engine as I was only going about 30mph when it happened. What's your C like then? Its so hard to find a good'un. My mates looking now and wants me to find him one. I couldn't find one for myself!!!!!!!

  21. I was after a Corrado! I joined this forum and learnt so much I became so fussy that none where right for me and then this Golf G60 came up! I couldn't resist! The picture is taken at this years Inter's at the show n shine. More detailed picture's coming soon.
