Spoke to an old school teacher today as I parked up.

He was saying about how much he loved these cars etc etc and how glad he was that I decided to put on original wheels on it,he also said that it is hard to try and find aftermarket wheels that suit well,so we had a nice long chat, first time we spoke in years actually.

Oh and he drives a new BLACK honda s2000 which is very nice :D

My valver is still parked up in my grandads driveway as i haven't taxed her up yet and somebody knocked on the door and asked my gran if it was their's and would they consider selling it.

I said 'no ta, but you can have the old car' (which is a 1.9D Renault 19) :p

Oh, and by the way mate, for your sig pic you should get your 'Sprinter' back onto the beach at Pendine sands !

I'm sure you either already knew, or have since been told that your car is the one on page 68 of Ian Kuah's VW Power & Style book.

Dunno where Ross on Wye is without getting an atlas out, but surely you can get there and re-create that cool pic? 8)

Edit: [brainwave] We should sort out a mass "Show some love" photo opportunity at Pendine :!:

Mate popped round Saturday night to borrow my motorcycle manual and didn't know about my G60 - "ooh, that's one on the list of proper cars that I want, always liked them...." etc.

Kinda makes you feel good don't it!

I love my 'raddo too, here are some of the best comments/moments-

after just buying it & driving it out of the garage, neighbour said "have you won the lottery" (she genuinely meant it).

The looks from Mk 2 Golf owners when they see a 'raddo (ie sh*t, I wish i'd bought one of them instead after they've modded them/spent loads of cash & I know 'cos I used to have a Mk 2 GTI 8v).

Overhearing people saying they'd give their right arm to own one.

People you've never met admiring the car & asking you how long you've owned it etc.

The friendship & interest you get from other Corrado drivers. :rabiit:

It's cameraderie - get the same with the Scirocco and motorbikes too. Walked up to a complete stranger today in Ludlow and started talking to him about his bike - Kawasaki Z1000H1 - first fuel injected production motorcycle, only 163 imported in the uk - my better half has one, saw one once in south wales and to see a third was wonderful. Only covered 14K in 25 years! Seeing that and a Corrado VR6 made up for a very crap day at work!

Indeed!

When I first got mine, one of my (middle-aged) neighbours came out to the street and said "I always wanted one of those, that's the best-looking car in the world".

And I also notice the swivel-headed looks of Mk2 owners :)

My sister saw my car for the first time on Friday - to her cars are just a means of getting from A-B but she actually admired my G60 (- gotta forgive her as she owns a Ford Escort!)
