i say keep the d90's non polished but get the coloured crested caps, car looks good but sort the camber out, a bit of negative looks good but i think your toe is out which makes it look odd, did you allign them yourself? Oh yeh drop it :)

Isn't the steering wheel just turned a bit to the left mate? Hard to tell if the toe is out unless you see a font-on shot surely?

I was going down a different route as trying to get hold of 16x8 x4 was becoming a bloody joke, but then I found a guy on E38 who sold me these... Pretty good condition to!!!!! :)

 

I really do love the wheels now.... and am so glad I held out for them and the adapters.....

That was the problem - I got the wheels pretty cheap - but adapters plus tyres...hmm - along with possible refurb - too much money atm.

 

At least I didn't lose any money on them - and got a quick sale :wink:

So the adapters came off today, along with my D90's :(

 

Not for long though.... Dropped the adapters off to get them machined down :)

 

Hopefull when they're back I'll be able to go alittle lower :devil:

So gutted today.... Ok where shall start ??????

 

Got the adapters back... looking good!!!

 

Got home put them and and sorted... Go for a drive later...

 

Out for the drive..... bottom of the road, "Something don't feel right here"... Did i tigten up the wheels properly???

Are the adapters on correct???.... I'm sure everything was tight!!!!

 

Come back home... Pitch black... Lets jack the car up!!!!

 

Wobbled the wheels.... Adapters not on tight enough ???? So took both front wheels off... sorted that out.... ready to roll again...:)

 

Now theres a weird noise coming every half a turn of the wheels..!!!!!

 

What could it be????

 

After looking everywhere, I eventually tracked it down to the NUTS!!!! Now that I've shaved 5mm of the 22mm adapters.. the bloody bolts are to lond and catching slightly... :mad:

the threaded end-will they not tighten up enough or the nut end so it`s poking through the adapter??

 

cant imagine it would be too difficult with a grinder?

 

as long as there`s enough thread into the hub i reckon it`ll be ok??

Its the end of the Bolts that bolt the adapters to the hub.... The threads are poking through too far.. catching on otherside of disk.....

i had the same problem with some bolts that were too long,bent the bloody things :(

Managed to find new shorter bolts with some more (diffarently sized) adapters.

 

You should be fine chopping the bolts a little,they will still have the exact same amount of thread holding them on if you chop accurately.

pop a nut on them to use as a guide to grind the right amount off and it will also clear the threads when you take them off.

Solution, buy new shorter bolts or as mentioned already, grind them down shorter, not difficult mate,
