what's your top 5 classic cars?

Recommended Posts

The whole "what cars would you have if money was no object" threads have been done to death, with everyone wanting a veyron or a Maclaren F1.........but after seeing the young fella out of the boyband in his MK1 Ford Capri, it got me thinking about what classic's would be top of my wish list.

So name your top five classic cars.

simple rules.

-The cars must have ceased, or still been in production before 1987 (i.e. at least 25 years old) -

mine....at the moment.

1. Ferrari 250 GT California Spider (Chris evans had one)

2. Shelby GT350

3. Lamborghini Countach

4. Ferrari Dino 246

5. Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante

Well, taking a leaf out of Tempest's book :)

1) Triumph GT6 (Got one)

2) Triumph Dolomite Sprint (Close - I have a Dolomite 1850)

3) VW Scirocco Mk2 (Purchase irresistably imminent)

4) Rover P6

5)Lotus Elan S2

But there are so many others from the late 60's/70 all of which have real character. If money were no object i'd need a hanger - not a garage!

Cheers

"If money were no object i'd need a hanger - not a garage!" - So true!

1. Early 911 Carrera RS

2. Lambo Countach

3. Lancia Stratos

4. E-Type Jag

5. Opel Manta!

I don't know why the Manta has made it, but I always loved them when I was younger and thought something a little more run of the mill (and affordable!) should be included!

Porsche 911 (not sure which model - I love too many of them)

I had the same problem! I've always loved Targas (black or white with opposite coloured seats and same coloured piping) but I'd be happy with any 911. 993s probably top the list for me but are too new for this list

All of my list is either previous car's or mate's car's which i have had a drive of

1. Sierra Cosworth (RS500 great i have and still own a 330bhp XR4X4)

2. Vauxhall Nova Red top running twin 45 webber's (previously owned)

3. Vauxhall Nova 2.0 Turbo (a mate's a good few year's ago now only one car ever beat it was a 450bhp Cossie hence why i own one)

4. Porsche 944 Turbo a very usable weapon and awesome grand tourer (another mate)

5. Vw Corrado DBP R32 ( Still learning this one but 1 thing i know it is Rapid)

I tried to make my list as normal as what i am ever going to get the pleasure to drive or have driven (all these car's are seriously quick without being super car's)
