Neat, glad you got it sorted. Not sure what handle they've given you if it drives the CL system potty - worth getting a refund though as I'm betting it was far from cheap! No go drink beer and enjoy your weekend safe in the knowledge that's one less thing to worry about :lol:

When you replaced the handles, did you take the door card off and plug the wire in that connects the handle into the CL loop? Also, when you've got the door card off - check that the vacuum hose is connected to the actuator. The hose was orange in mine, and pretty easy to locate. The actuator is on the right hand side of the door as you look at it from the interior up against the edge where the mech is. It's a bit fiddly getting the hose into the actuator - but you'll know when it's in there. Check both sides as you've had both handles replace. Note that the passat handles don't have the central locking wire... HTH :D

Stealth do a mod that gives around 150bhp from a 1.8 16v, involves fiddling with the WUR (warm up regulator) IIRC and some other things. Can't remember off the top of my head, brain fried from work.... Do a search, lots of information about this topic. :)

Would oil burning off give this affect? If a head needed a rebuild, would it cause this? Mine does it from time to time, and I know for a fact mine needs rebuilding as the seals/guides are foo-bar'd. Just a thought.. :)

I've jut sourced a VR coweling and lever from corovin cheers Supercharged, but the empty space is what prompted the question. It's going to look all weird without the adjustable column - so I think It'd be rude to stick late stalks and late coweling on without the relevant extras :D

Another totally long shot - Black VR with after market bumpers, dunno what ones. In Scheveningen in The Hague. I tell you, 3 days - 4 rados and 2 roccos. 3 weeks in the US, not one of either. :roll:
