    Steam Cleaning

Thanks for all the suggestions, unfortunately won't be able to put them into practice until I get my car back :(

    Steam Cleaning

Thinking of getting hold of a steam cleaner to do the engine bay, any caveats? Also, just heard that you can use steam cleaners to bring up upholstery - is this the case? TIA randal
  3. There ain't diddly on google, under "gerb 2200 slipkit" "gerb 2200" "gerb slipkit" Hmmmmm. Weird. What makes you think Halfraud's would have it anyways dude?
  4. I second that. WTF?!
  5. Blimey man, that looks hella smooth. Good effort. :D

    Rob's 16V

Very nice indeed. I do like the back end, the colour coding of everything works really well. But you know what you want on there? A nice Milltek or something... :D Think I might have to do the same with the number plate surround. What are you doing with your old wheels btw?
  7. Two today in the car park at Trevor's Garage near Gatwick. A nugget yellow valver with Sebrings, and an L plate VR6 with a nasty dent on the rear panel :( Oh and a black G60 on the A3 between the M25 and Burpham last night.
  8. Nice and simple - Alternator whine! RAAAAH! Can't get shot of it!

Just out of interest, how do you go about calibrating a speedo?

Did they pull the dude in the golf too?

All due respect mate, what on earth were you doing pushing that sorta speed in a 30? Late, racing, cramp in right foot?! Maaan, don't get me wrong here. I do have sympathy for ya, especially as it was an undie that pulled ya over. But still, 3 points already - the court are gonna make life difficult for you. If anything, just to make an example. :( We all find it difficult to sit at 30mph, 35 seems the norm - even for the corsa toting granny - compounded by the fact you know you are in a car capable of doing in excess of 130mph. No excuse though, 30's are there for a reason - built up area, schools, traffic calming, whatever. They law arn't going to be open minded to your cause, far as they are concerned they've removed another menace from their beat. :(
  13. I do like those Chrono's, think the 5mm just about finishes them off. Nice :D
  14. I like the way the house carpet matches the Corrado. Must get me some sill plates for my front door step :D :D :D

    Two 1.8 16'vs?

Ah that's a point, didn't think of that. Ah well, no skin off my nose either way :D Ta
  16. Sounds good to me then, if they are that sorta price then I don't mind throwing caution to the wind. Hell yes I wash my C weekly! Doesn't everyone? Cheers for the info guys, much obliged. All the best randal
  17. Ah OK, they are like the ol' famous "Green stuff" pads then? Any suggestions as to alternatives? :)
  18. Checked the pads on mine, I think they need replacing - oops. Where would be a good place to source the fast road pads that I keep hearing good things about? The discs on there are ok, and I think would cost me an arm and a leg to replace anyway as they are drilled and vented. TIA randal

    Two 1.8 16'vs?

    Tabby Flambe anyone?

    Two 1.8 16'vs?

Yeah, that's what I though too. The cat was only introduced on the 2.0L 16'vs - the high displacement there in order to compensate for the cat. Meeee-ow. Odd huh? Oh well, I'm putting it down to over zealous auctioneering.

    Two 1.8 16'vs?

Just doing the usual "whittle away the last hour of the day" on ebay, and have come across a set of plugs. The auction says they are suitable for (amongst others) - corrado 1800cc 133bhp 16V 4/89-7/92 corrado 1800cc 139bhp 16V 4/89-7/92 Where there two types of valver produced in this time period? I'm all confused. TIA randal
  22. I used a new scapel blade to get em off, they were so old and crappy they literally flaked off. (And smelt like fish, pretty vile) :pukeright:
  23. It's all about the portal really. I find the recent topics on the left are very handy, but then i've got nothing better to do (work!?) than to read the forum most of the day. Failing that you can't go wrong with the "Posts since you last visited" on the right hand side. I think the way the forum is laid out already is perfect - can't see anything wrong what-so-ever with stickied topics either. My 0.02p's worth. (gasp, and on topic - wtf is going on with me today?!) :D
