  1. Just found another one - Golf MK1 Throttle body.
  2. You take a passat sunroof, mech etc... several free hours, a plethora of colourful language and et voila! A glass moon/sun roof! Not sure WHY it's called a moon roof, but I'm sure the inventor would love to shed some light.... (bom bom) randal
  3. All, Obviously there's a lot of handy mods around for the C. Lupo wipers, delocked passat handles, MK4 callipers, headlight loom etc... to name a few - shall we get a comprehensive list going? 8) Cheers randal
  4. :( not cool. I'd get back onto the garage, and start screaming. How much did the work cost if you don't mind me asking? Bet it wasn't cheap... ...plus, shouldn't the garage have given you some kinda of warranty on the work? laters
  5. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8532 should sort ya out a treat. laters randal
  6. Ah OK, guess I can pull the spring off the stock TB. I know the feeling, size 12's and a right foot that only knows the on or off position :  Suggestions of the bracket? Cracked the speaker covers btw, balsa wood and staples work a treat. Thanks again chap, randal
  7. Yo BelfastFuManchu, did you order one of those? Just spoke to the Carb Hospital, and they said they shipped on to Ireland. Anyways, they've got one left - but the price is sitting at £180!! AAARRRRGG it's the wrong side of payday! However, the bonus is - matey said that it was a complete kit. So Henny is that all you'd need to do the mod? Thanks randal
  8. Tried the cardboard idea, not too hot. I think it has promise, just didn't have the time to throw into it. This weekend maybe... Basically, you are looking for a set of speakers that doesn't have a high standing tweeter. I think Sony do a set of slimline speakers (well, they used to - don't know if the X-Plod (sounds like a retired policeman) would suit). Failing that, like someone suggested - you could always use components. Dash mounts for the tweeter, and door mounts for the main drive. Plus, you have the advantage of burying the crossover in the door build. Just a thought. Laters randal
  9. Wondering if I'm suffering with a similar gripe. I've got a Quantum in mine though. Gave the battery a full charge the other day, drove it around for about an hour or so - left it for a day (needs me beer!), went to start it and nothing. Well, apart from the alarm going off. Another popular neighbour favourite! Wondering if the battery is hosed... Would explain the alarm going off at random times. Does anyone have a similar problem with the Quantums in 90 spec C's? Looks like I'll be taking another trip to the auto-spark. Lates randal
  10. Score, I think we have a winner! Will have to get creative tomorrow. randal
  11. 41, lmfao... Hey Phil - remember that website...?
  12. laughing my ****ing a$$ off! tut tut Phil C'mon! :D :D :D
  13. Cloth! Ding! Nice, will have to look into that. I think the metal grill can be seperated from the plastic clip/guide - so *hopefully* will be a case of finding a suitable replacement. Nice one. Cheers randal
  14. Ah so that's where from. Cool, ta (again) Henny! Woo, 100 posts - no longer a n00b! randal
  15. Ooops, I owe ya a quid. Plus new plates... ...dammit!
  16. I think I'm going to cry. That was a beeeeee-yatch to get out! Thanks all the same randal

Noble, Supercharged Elise 111R, Aston , stop day dreaming randal - get back to work!
  19. Where would the air leak be from outta interest? Somewhere on the intake? Much Gracious Muchachos! randal
  20. Breathers, throttle body or an ECU reset spring to mind. Someone had a post on here about a vacuum hose that had to be precisely 39 inches long attaching to the ECU - not sure if it applied to the 1.8's tho. Hope this helps randal
  21. It's a Quantum.. ..is that the brand, or the model? I might have a go at a DIY overhaul before shelling out the cash for a new beasty. Where in your opinion would the control box live? Is it going to be in the central column, or behind the dash somewhere. /me gets flashbacks to yesterday's painful stereo fitting involving removing the glovebox, clock surround, half the dash... ouch! Not again! cheers randal
  22. 300 notes!? Oh well, there goes a chunk of the head work money... Hmmm, security/performance - it's an unfair trade off! Thanks for the advice randal
  23. Sounds like that's going to be the best course of action. What sort of figure am I looking at? I wonder if they'd do a PX for a wonderful Quantum setup... :lol: cheers chap randa;
  24. Fitted a set of Infinity's reference speakers in the dash yesterday, they work a treat. However, as the tweeter stands proud of the cone - it's pain to get the original grills to fit over. I don't really want to start hammering the crap outta them to get a fit - any ideas? TIA randal
