  1. Don't know if anyone's been following, but - I've been having intermittent grief (the best kind) with my alarm. Sometimes when I arm it the indicators stay on, sometimes it randomly decides to go off (although the sensor positions in the car do have a huge affect on how often), and generally it's a pain the a$$. Just wondering if anyone has had an overhaul from a spark before - or would it be a smarter move just to say sod it and get a new system dropped in? Cheers in advance randal
  2. Arrrg, the metro drone. along with the squeaky susp, (well those springs and rods they call susp) - makes for a pretty musical car! doesn't help, but I hate metros if that counts. ta randal
  3. wondering if a gearbox would do that... ...not what you wanna hear I know. what car is it btw? laters randal
  4. Eh up Phil, As per last night's conversation, can also recommend http://www.letsbuycaraudio.com . Got a 6090R, 140 quid off what Hal-stitch-up-yer-gran-fords wanted. Woo! P.S - I wonder what the Polo driver said last night ? Laters Randal

  6. ah just spoke to him again, looks like he's gonan see what needs doing tonight. order parts (if needed), lock her up and crack on tomorrow morning. I'd rather he did that than rush it tonight... slightly :offtopic: I know - sorry guys! randal
  7. car isn't even on the ramps yet :x suckage!
  8. I will do, expecting a call from the garage this afternoon - so fingers crossed, they (or maybe not) find something. Well, that is to say if the car survived the night. The guy running the garage is a close friend, but I'm sure his eyes sparkled when I gave him the key last night! Could have sworn that was my car going past at 120 this morning  hehehehehe. Laters randal
  9. Henny, where art tho?! I woudn't say it's completely gutless sub 3K, but well - I'm sure there should be a little more grunt. Pulls like a train on steroids after 3K, I guess when the engine comes on cam... ...well, it's in getting a thorough service and good once over today. We'll see what the garage finds. Cheers randal
  10. no probs. would that be a double wide caravan, stuff with heather? :D randal
  11. sorry, should have been clearer. Someone said once that our group has a language of it's own, I guess they were right. Basically, getting at losers, trouble makers, peeps with nothing better to do than to wind others up, be generally agressive and make other's lives a misery for no particular reason but for the hell of it. Word in their shell? Kneecaps? As much as I'd love the word to work (believe me, i'm the first one to say that violence is fruitless), will it? Ta Randal
  12. gotcha. not overly interested with the strong jockey contingent, shame - am interested in a good monthly show tho. Just not up for all the hassle with wideboys. nice that the law steer clear though! randal
  13. what is no-rice btw? no rice rockets? randal
  14. As for a route - Normandy, Pirbright Bends, Brookwood, Woking, Sheerwater, Six Cross Roads Roundabout, Chobham, Gordon Boy's Roundabout, Heatherside, Frimley Green, Ash Vale. About 25 miles all in all, lots of National Speed limit, some awesome bends, and back in time for the welcoming smile of a fine bar maid holding ya beer. What more could you ask for? :D randal
  15. same here, good for any of the dates. How many of us would be there? Is it 5? I'm liking the idea of convoy :D
  16. Yup, I'll second that - with a little luck the weather will be better. Anyone else good for the Sunday meet idea? randal
  17. Thats the one! Good point on the parking, what about the swan in ash vale? Thats got a big ol' car park, fine barmaids and is awesome in the summer as it's on the canal... (nothing like forward planning!) laters randal
  18. Up the cobbled hill, on one of the side streets. It's bang opposite a little pizza place, very handy for drunken munchies. It's only about 5-10 stomp from thre train station.
  19. Not too sure on that one, I've always known it as the Pews/Piers (damn drunken sievehead can't remember hte freakin' name!). Staggering sounds good, - the Mill sounds even better. Like you said, it's brass monkies out there - so maybe later in the year. As for other ideas, anyone got a house with a big driveway  randal
