  1. I have done a search but can't seem to find the part number for the belt connecting both cooling fans. One drives the other I believe by means of this belt and mine is broken. and has been mysteriously vapourised and while we are here - anyone know the technical term for this belt? merci beaucoup
  2. And I thought I had problems
  3. yes it is possible there should be about 7 metal clips which you pry off CAREFULLY without chipping bits of the lens itself. The glass is sealed against the housing by sticky sponge but comes off quite easily once the clips are removed

    odd numbering....

yes thanks Gareth - luckily the plastic lead grooves are numbered but whoever had replaced the leads before had completely mixed them up - little wonder it was misfiring!

    odd numbering....

so what order do they go in from top down? (if you know what I mean)?
  6. Hi all just replacing my original HT leads with Blue Igniters. Only problem is the original leads are numbered 1,2,3,5,5,6 why is there an extra number 5 lead?? can anyone tell me the sequence i should put the new leads in from top to bottom? Anyone gotta pic of the sequence of their leads? cheers
  7. Bear in mind legislation is going through Parliament which intends to outlaw "detectors" that have laser location devices incorporated. That would mean the New Road Angel would be illegal. Devices which use GPS only to inform of camera location will remain legal. The Classic Road Angel can be used as such because its laser tracking function can be detached from the main unit. Just a thought............
  8. which model corrado have you got?
  9. for the sensation of speed and the thrills of cornering NOTHING beats a fastbike Im afraid. Unfortunately, motorists of the fourwheeled variety tend to forget they have a set of three mirrors and make a trip on your bike a tightrope over the fires of doom
  10. i welcome you as another sustainer of the mighty Corrado!
  11. not on a 1.8 16V there isn't.... there is no drain plug on one of these.... :| Oops   didn't notice which car he had..sorry
  12. when the expansion tank cap is closed tight the system is sealed (the cap mechanism ensures this) and so any leak will be small as there is less air pressure "pushing" the coolant out. This does not, however, localise the leak, but I woulld still check the drainage plug first and then have a good look under the car if this is not the problem. Keep an eye on the water temp if youre still driving it though :) :)
  13. there is a plastic plug (pretty pathetic one) than screws into the underside of the radiator coolant system - it is unscrewed to drain the system - As I say its only made of weedy plastic and can corrode with the high water temps so check this first
  14. Owner's manual can be gotten from the dealer for about £4+VAT The sunroof is a common problem and it probably need a stripdown and service (including the motor). Do a search on this forum and you'll find plenty of info As for the seat, Kev's guide on the seat bolster repair is fairly comprehensive in deatiling removal of the seat and declothing. http://the-corrado.net/how-to/index.php ... tails&id=7 All the best and welcome to the Corrado!! :) :)
  15. I don't think Super has any specific cleaning agents in it - it is just a higher Research Octane Number fuel - closer to leaded fuel and more combustible. Optimax and similar fuels do have specific additives that supposedly 'clean' as you burn it :) :)
  16. Just filled up today with Super 97RON from Sainsbury's. Cost 79.9p a litre and the C seems to like it better than Optimax
  17. Insurance companies usually want rid of the car so if you say it is of sentimental value and you will cover the shortfall and will be getting the repairs done yourself - they'll happily sell it back to you - they usually don't ask much either

    Flat Spots!

or the usual plugs-leads+-coilpack scenario I'm suffering from a similar problem and had the Stealers mechanic come out on a drive with me- he was adamant that it was my ignition leads and so Ive ordered a set of Blue igniters from C&R
  19. Yep, I used to work in Bodelwyddan - lovely country and spent a lot of time driving around horsehoe pass
  20. I'll be up for a pair if there's any left 8) 8)
  21. Sorry to see those pictures - its a horrible feeling I know. Whats worse is a chav in a XR2 did it ! Anyway hope you get it sorted soon without the usual insurance hassle - has the c**t got any insurance???
  22. if I DEFINATELY need a special tool to remove the HT leads? C&R say that one should be attached to my bonnet strut but I can't find one. Anyone know where I can source one? cheers
