-
Too right ! Bimbling round the shops has only ever got me around 24mpg - Another excuse to avoid doing the shopping if you ask me
-
Its fairly easy to take it out - youll need to take out the ashtray unit on the left side of it and you'll see how to get it out. If it is damaged, let me know and I could let you have a spare unit Ive got somewhere.

OK here's the details of my trip DISTANCE 152 MILES motorway AVE SPEED 61 MPH PARTIALLY LOADED SUPERPLUS UNLEADED FUEL VR6 ORIGINAL ENGINE WITH MAGNEX CATBACK SYSTEM And the magic figure is 34.7 mpg im sure we've all played games with the MFA trying to get the maximum MPG (er well I hope you lot have  ) and the most Ive ever got is 35.6 mpg

Yes thanks Iain, I had replaced the fuse (see original post) but I was wondering why the fuel pump is on the same circuit as the spoiler? Did yours start and run OK when the spioler had fused?
-
I totally agree with the idea of posting how to guides - if youre working on the car why not take a few photos while youre at it and possibly help someone else out? As for myself I don't know how many would be interested in keeping their ar$es warm in the summer but I posted the seat heater element guide anyway

imagine ruining a perfectly good lawn like that............... :( :(

Quick Question: Do the Blue Igniters HT leads have OE connectors attached? Can anyone recommend a supplier? cheers
-
glad you got it sorted!! Steering is comparatively heavier but shouldnt pull to anyone side on a flat straight surface - first step would be to check tracking and camber before anything else If these are okay, it could be a wheel bearing ( if accompaied by worsening vibration/noise going round a corner) Incidentally did you ever lose revs momentarily when accelerating before the fuel pump/coil was replaced?

Mike, mines got one grey and one white as well but be careful when getting the seat back in the runner because I found that the plastic guides fall out quite easily and I had to hold mine in whilst I got the seatback on the runner. Also the guide should sit on the most forward part of the seat rail - youll find it sits seemingly snugly on the front and back aspects but on the back one doesnt seem to hold the seat well. youll see when you start messing about with it :D :D

My gap was on the left - so I loosened the two allen bolts and moved down and to the left Needs a bit more power to click shut now though...........

I was thinking of sending it back to them to do it properly..........................

Hi I posted a thread earlier regarding an uneven gap on the tailgate when shut - Afew others had this problem and suggested the hinges could be going. Anyway, I fiddled around with the striker plate which adjusts quite freely and NOW there is no longer a gap. Seeing as this is just a five minute job I thought it would be worthwhile posting just in case other fools like me spend months figuring it out

cheers - in that case it looks like I've found one - thanks for the help!! :D :D :D

WOW - I was just having a moan about the price of replacement Solitudes!!  I forgot to ask - are the Solitudes used on the Golf exactly the same as those on the Corrado - I mean are they interchangeable? thanks for all the suggestions - will be doing some more hunting this weekend

looking at VWM online, there is a Storm for sale - seller expecting £5K for a 168K miler so £6-£7K is not unreasonable: http://www.vwmonline.co.uk/classified/c ... rch=Search

Does anyone know of supplier/manufacturer of LED tail ights for the Corrado? I know other models have had aftermarket ones made like the ones on new BM's or on new public buses? Have done a search on this forum and can only find posts related to LED bulb replacement not the whole light unit
-
if the seat elememt is buggered - search for 'heated seat fix' on this forum- may help you
-
max 7k I'd say.....someone WILL buy it for that money, but obviously try much lower first
-
condition? originality? FSH? HPI? if all above are OK and youve verified that is is a Storm (search posts) then I would say £7- £8K
-
I will also withold my contribution to your engine fund as a result of your lapse comments Looking at the reaction perhaps a formal apology is in order? :) :) :) :)
-
Sure - I wasn't sure where it belonged in any case Can you reverse the order of the pictures as well ? :D :D
