  1. Thanks for the offer. But as I'm going supercharged in the next few months I think it best I use a new tensioner and belt. Already priced them on E-Bay.
  2. My tensioner is on its last legs. Screaming like mad and very hot to the touch, burning rubber smell. So I did a bit of hunting and found this very handy guide along with part no's etc. click here Hopefully someone will find that useful. :)
  3. Hi Swampy. Yes, I sent the money last week.

    New Storm

Lovely car. Sorry you have to sell. Good Luck!
  5. I've had two of the looms from that seller (on 2 different VR6s) no problems whatsoever. 1st loom was on my last car 4 years. Second has been on my latest car for 18 months.
  6. Mine's in the under-dash tray on the driver's side. Made a hole in the top of it and pushed the leads through. Ipod is hidden from sight down there.
  7. I'll have another look today. Very annoying, the alarm is great apart from that.
  8. When I arm the alarm, one window rolls up partly and the sunroof closes. I think the locking pulse isn't long enough. I can roll up both windows and close the sunroof by holding the "arm" button 1 on the fob. I think this is called "comfort closure" I've attempted to increase the locking pulse via software switch 3-6. Which is supposed to allow me to time the duration from 1sec to 2.5mins. But no joy. Can anyone help?
  9. Happy days! Hit me with the price baby. I'm already booked in for the 28th July for a Supercharger fitting and general health check.
  10. Different map, same procedure? They should all be custom maps anyway, tailored to your setup/engine.
  11. Cams and Stealth remap for me too please!
  12. Stealth do them for £350 + VAT. So the GB should be cheaper than that.
  13. I'm defo in. As long as it doesn't take months to organise. Vince @ Stealth can also supply them. He sent me an e-mail yesterday.
  14. I'm a definite. Was ready to order them this week anyway.
  15. Count me in too. Thank goodness I used the search and found this thread. I was about to order a set from Bill this week. What's the score with Customs Duty on these?
  16. Just watched this one on E-Bay. Ended with no bids. There seem to be quite a few kits for sale at the moment and none are selling. :(
  17. I'm interested. Although I keep my car wash/car park change in that ashtray since I got the centre console gauges. Maybe incorporate a coin-holder into it too for good measure. (cheeky)
  18. Man that stuff is such a nightmare. Although on such a small area it shouldn't be too bad. Awful memories of trying to tint the windows on my Golf and the film attacking me. Almost mummified in the back of the car. Film will de-laminate though if exposed to the elements. Maybe there's some method of dipping in liquid tint? I dunno, just clutching at straws. Hijacked this poor lad's thread too much already.
  19. So we need to find a good way of tinting the standard glass blue. Can't be that hard. But not my forté.
  20. I was just gonna say the same. We need to talk to DDI in Canada who produce these. If ARZ Tuning made them I would be happy to get involved in organising a GB. My relationship with DDI isn't great since the episode I mentioned previously. So best I don't get involved in talking to them directly. But I think there is a demand. With more cars on the road using HID lights, it's becoming increasingly annoying driving at night. An auto-dimming rearview mirror would also be nice.
  21. There's a pun in there somewhere :D
  22. I think the Blue tinted stuff is produced by DDI only. Original plain glass is probably still available from VW. Two options I see. Either buy standard glass and tint it yourself (if possible). Or we contact DDI and do a Group Buy for a one off run of Blue Glass without the dippy warning. I thought the UK was bad for Health & Safety warnings. But really, "objects in the mirror appear closer than they are". What's next? "Warning sharp edge" on a knife or "warning, flammable" on a box of matches?
  23. Turned out a bit of a disaster. Firstly, they posted me the mirror glass and charged me even though they knew I didn't want it. Then it never arrived. And they made me wait 2 months before giving me a refund, minus shipping fees! Not impressed with DDI. I have bought quite a few things from ARZ though and they have been cool.
  24. I ordered a set of DDI ones last year. Only to find they have the stupid "objects in the mirror are closer than they appear" message scribed onto them. I see the ones on ARZ Tuning's site are also DDI, but appear not to have this message. http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p10344_VW-Corrado-Blue-Tinted-Wide-Angle-Mirrors.html ---------- Post added at 9:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:56 PM ---------- Is it as easy as they say to peel off and reapply the heater element? (sorry for hijacking the thread) :)
