  1. Installed VAGCOM on my little netbook last night and gave the Corrado a quick scan. The car is idling and driving ok. Only problem at the moment is high Oil Temps, I think due to the location of the Mocal cooler. I'll open another thread for that one. Anyway. One fault found. Control Module Part Number: 021 906 258 CP Component and/or Version: MOTOR 2,8L 6-Zyl. Software Coding: PMC 1 HS Work Shop Code: 0261203565 1 Fault Found: 00527 - Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor (G72) 30-00 - Open or Short to B+ Anyone seen this before? Searching the Forum didn't turn up much.
  2. The VW Part number would be great if someone can find it for me.
  3. Sweet looking Corrado. I hope one day mine looks like this.
  4. Got the parts from someone on E-Bay selling copied BBS wheels ;)
  5. As usual my Corrado has picked a great moment to go faulty. 31 degrees is predicted on Thursday and my aircon has gone tits. The mechanic had a look today, the compressor is making a rattling noise on tickover and gas leaks from it when he tried to refill the system. Anyone know where I can get a new one? The local AC specialist here wants €455 just for the part plus fitting which will no doubt be another €500. I figure I can replace it myself and the mechanic will regass it for €30. I've attached a photo of the compressor's label. Sanden U 7822 - R134a
  6. At least VW took the place over. Otherwise it would have been levelled. But Golf+ should have given Karmann a mention. I wonder if the Karmann Collection is still onsite. Fond memories of the Corrado Forum trip there.
  7. I got mine from a Passat VR6 1988 - 1997 (35i shape). Fits perfectly. Althought I replaced the outer seal as it was a little perished. Took about an hour to fit on my own. Would recommend a mate helps with removing and refitting the sunroof cartridge. The glass unit is a lot heavier than the Corrado's tin one. I had to balance the unit on the headrests whilst I did up the first few bolts.
  8. I see the Scene Tax has already been applied to these by one seller on the Bay. €63 + €14 postage for a G60!
  9. New 1/43 Corrado models by Norev. These are now available from a number of online shops (Google it) or on Ebay where I found they are cheaper. Two models. A G60 and a "Doctor on Call" Corrado with emergency lights on the roof. See pics below.
  10. Ordered 2 10 days ago. They arrived today. Just playing now. I bought 2 x class 10 8GB cards for €12 on Ebay. Looking good so far.
  11. I just read the same thing.. http://tinyurl.com/3fl955g From the description, I guess the replacement pack is like this one.. http://tinyurl.com/3hjnhxr
  12. Cheers! I'll be having one of those. 8)
  13. Passat Moonroof now fitted. A huge improvement on the original steel roof IMO. More pics this weekend after she's been polished and waxed.
  14. Do you have a genuine Momo snap off boss? On my last Rado I had an aftermarket snap off boss. Ended up removing it for exactly the reason you're worried about. Stuck out way too far. I think the genuine Momo snap off kit isn't so deep.
  15. Sounds like it's knackered. It should either ask for a code or display "learning" when you try to turn it on. Have a look at this thread... http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/p/301089/2001971.aspx
  16. Just spotted these on Minichamps site http://www.minichamps.de/index.php?iex=&m=1&s=en&a=2&b=4&c=2 And it looks like Diecastlegends are taking pre-orders http://tinyurl.com/3pjzgvz
  17. Missed that when I read it. I see in his Ebay shop that he does sell the gaskets separately. Best just order a complete base unit to be sure it all matches.
  18. Late one.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360322451716&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Early one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Beetle-Golf-Passat-Polo-Roof-Aerial-Antenna-Base-3-/360322452672?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53e4e44cc0 Fitted
  19. He doesn't sell the gaskets alone. It's the complete base with gasket and amplifier. Take a look at the Thread. He can also supply new antennas if needed. Just to be clear. He'll give a 10% discount on orders over £50 and will discuss a greater discount on orders over 10 pieces.
  20. Hi Guys, I bought a complete aerial from these guys today. Whilst doing so I asked about a discount for Forum members. They prefer to do things via their E-Bay shop. I guess that keeps everything above board. But because of this, it's very time consuming to refund £2.49 via Paypal for every single order. E-Bay don't offer the option of inputting a discount code or similar at checkout. So here's what they can do... Maybe a possible Group Buy? If someone would like to organise it. I think most Corrado's could do with at least a new gasket and a lot need the amplifier too. Which is included. Solve's the crumby radio reception. ---------- Post added at 11:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 PM ---------- There are at least two different models of aerial too. All discussed here... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?54413-Which-replacement-ariel
  21. He's back from Holidays today. I've ordered this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=360322451716 following the chap's advice. I also asked if he would offer discount to Forum Members. I'm sure we all need new aerials after 16 years. He's seeing if he can work something out using E-Bay.
  22. Aha! Thanks. I didn't see the message about him being away until tomorrow. I think I need the other kind. Mine's a '96 N Reg. But I'll drop him a line tomorrow.
