  1. Looks like the complete seal kit. ARZ Tuning have good customer service, contact them and double check if unsure. How about the plastic trim at the bottom of the screen and the clips holding it on? Usually it breaks when you remove it because a previous repairer has bonded it on.
  2. I plugged a few part numbers for "obsolete" stuff into their site last night. They had all of them available.
  3. I've Black Diamond disks on my standard 280's. Tried them first with EBC Greenstuff pads - crap. Then Ferodo DS2500 pads. Much better now. But this is only a stop gap until I find a set of 312mm at the right price. 288s are a good compromise. Depends on your driving needs. My disk/pad setup is good enough for UK roads. But not driving at 120mph plus on the Autobahn here in Deutschland. Especially when Belgians pull out into the outside lane without looking or indicating! (pet hate)
  4. I have no problem attempting the re-tumbling. Looks easy enough. Although the kit is expensive and enough to re-tumble about 10 locks apparently. I'll post a wanted ad for a boot lock and key as that will be the easiest option. How do I remove the lock barrel from the boot lid?
  5. I have them on mine. I like the look, but they're a pain in the ass, especially if you put screenwash instead of plain water in the reservoir. Coats the bonnet with lovely suds everytime I squirt my windscreen, eventually cleaning all my expensive wax off. A retro-fit delay kit would be very nice. In fact, mine weren't working at all and I liked that. But the guy that fixed my aircon noticed a kink in the water pipe feeding them and kindly fixed it for me when he was in there. Bar Steward! :)
  6. They have them listed. Part no 535941531F @ €71.00 Your ones are a good bit cheaper and much better made. Mine works a charm now.
  7. Just thought I would give this site a mention as they've helped me a few times. http://www.online-teile.com/vw/index.php They're a VW Dealership in Germany. I've bought quite a few genuine parts from them in the past 2 years. Very fast service although normal VW prices. Handy if you need something that is "obsolete" in the UK.
  8. Got it swapped over, luckily only the box part had shattered and nothing had gone into the pipe. The 1200 miles since then have been faultless (touch wood)
  9. After changing the sensor, my temps returned to normal. Turns out my fans weren't coming on when the car was driving, but they were working on over run when I parked up.
  10. I just realised today that my boot doesn't lock! The lock is in the 3 o'clock position, which makes it lock independently of the central locking. My key fits the lock but does not turn it. Both main and spare keys operate the door locks and ignition but not the boot. I looked up re-tumbling the lock, the tumbler and spring set is €52. Part no 443898041 There's a guide to doing a door lock on the wiki, is the boot lock the same? Alternatively, does anyone have a spare boot lock and key? Not bothered about having an extra key and I only need to use it once to set the lock to operate on the central locking.
  11. Disaster averted. The guy I sold my last VR to dry stores it during the Winter. So I'm going to borrow the part from him and send him a replacement. Thanks for the help guys and Merry Christmas!
  12. In Bangor N.Ireland visiting the folks. Don't think there's anyone local, but you never know. B&Q is open on Boxing Day, I'll see if they have suitable pipe.
  13. Of all the times for this to happen! I was moving the car out of the driveway this afternoon when I heard a crack from the engine bay and the car stalled. On startup the revs shot to 3000rpm then back to below 1000rpm then stalled again. Checked the engine bay, the breather at the back of the crankcase has exploded. I have the part numbers: VW 021133429A Ford F7364573 However, with it being Christmas all the local dealers are closed until the 27th and even then they may not open the parts dept. I'm due to drive back to Germany on the morning of the 27th. Brilliant! Is there a way to bypass this and is it safe to do so for a journey of around 500 miles? Why does this crap always happen at the worst possible time! :(
  14. I've been using a Mk4 TDi 130 Highline (mapped to 180bhp) as a daily for the past 3 years. It's just passed 130k and hasn't missed a beat. I bought it at 105k and the clutch and flywheel had just been replaced. Other than regular servicing and tyres it hasn't needed anything. Kind of boring actually; when driving the Corrado there's always that excitement of wondering what will break next :)
  15. That would have saved me a morning rooting through dead Golfs at the scrappies!
  16. I used one from a Passat B3 (35i) Estate. Replaced the outer sunroof seal at the same time as the donor one was perished. Spent a bit of time fiddling with the adjustment to stop wind noise. Happy with the final result. As others have said it allows more light into the dark interior. Don't try and remove/fit the roof on your own though it's heavy and awkward, get someone else to hold it while you undo/do the bolts.
  17. Don't think you're gonna get a reply mate. As essentially you're asking how to "Clock" a Corrado!
  18. For the early cars VAG did a blank gauge panel. Much like this one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-VDO-Gauge-Holder-VR6-G60-16V-Pod-Panel-2Hole-/170604268629?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b8ce8c55#ht_1949wt_1396 You gotta source the gauges and senders and do the wiring yourself. For wiring the late ones, the multiplug from a Mk3 Golf electric sunroof switch makes it a neat job.
  19. 8010 is the one for early Corrados and Mk2 Golfs (bought one in error last year!)
  20. There's a moonroof in the Parts for Sale section
  21. Finally got my mechanic mate to take a look at this for me. I printed out Vince's picture from Page 18 of this thread as a guide. Got the sensor out, being careful not to lose the O-Ring. Carefully split the unit open. As Vince had said, the solder joints were looking tired. Resoldered them. Sealed the unit up with silicon. Refitted, plugged in VAGCOM to clear the fault. Took her for a spin, no more ABS light! Total cost about £2 and an hour including tea break :) While I was there we fitted the Audi TT wiper kit too. Amazing I have working wipers again, such a difference!
  22. I fitted a '93 Passat 35i Estate moonroof to mine. Good job, fits well and the interior sliding panel is the same colour as the Corrado's headcloth. Pretty easy job to do if you take your time. Need to have an extra pair of hands help to take out the sunroof cassette and fit the new one as they are heavy buggers.
  23. I didn't drive the car much after removing it. My heart wasn't in it anymore and I sold her on. But it didn't make much difference from what I remember. The ABS system was fairly rudimentary on these cars. I wish I could have got away with that. But in N.Ireland the MOT centres are operated directly by the Driver Vehicle Testing Agency and very strict. :(
  24. Well done for persevering with this and keeping the thread updated. I'm sure this will help someone else. For me it's too late. My ABS had similar symptoms and after numerous sensors, pumps, relays and ECU's I opted to have the entire system removed. Otherwise the car wouldn't go through MOT and would only be good for spares. I've changed car now to a Storm and I'm terrified anytime the ABS light blinks!
  25. Great! Just saved £14 on new SKF Top mounts all round
