When you say "not perfect", what's wrong with the job? Do you know what brand of paint they used?
-
Just been reading through this thread. My own Storm could do with some paint too. How did the bodyshop deal with the rear quarter windows? Did they pop them out and reinstall them after or just pull back the seals and blow the paint in? The job looks top quality, maybe worth a ferry trip and drive from here to use the same shop. What brakes have you fitted behind the BBS Solitudes? I have 312's on mine and I was told 15" Solitudes wouldn't fit.

Nice!

Those are E30 arms? They look like Lupo or TT with the Aero blades.

Show us some pics! :)

VW Classic Parts still have them. Mine arrived today. €16.21 all in.

Both those conversions look great. BTW, the original handbrake cover is still available from VW Heritage.. https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/535711463/handbrake-lever-trim-corrado-black/

Packaging opened but unused. Bought in error. Please check the profile of your existing seal matches this one before ordering. For Passat "35i" B3/B4 1988 - 1996 £35 inc P&P.

*** Sharing for Information *** I have a Moonroof from a '94 Passat Estate in my car. Installed by my own fair hand. I still have the scars to prove it. :) The seal started leaking during the summer and I've had some trouble finding the correct replacement. The first seal I ordered was the proper one for a Passat of this era. Available here But when I pulled the original seal off the sunroof I discovered it had a completely different profile. Which turns out to be part number 357 877 209 A from a MK3 Golf VR6. €70 from VW. The two seals are not interchangeable. A costly mistake as the Passat seal was also €70. Now for sale if you need it. So before you go ordering a seal, pop the end of it off the roof and check the profile. Looks like VW chopped and changed the glass itself between different models.

[FYI] Change in Management at THE Corrado Forum
MikeVR6 replied to Andi's topic in Site Comments and Questions
Thanks for all the great work Andi. I also work in IT and know what it takes behind the scenes to keep things running. Without the Forum many of our cars wouldn't be on the roads anymore. And all our Wives/Partners would be happy :) Cheers Andi! -
It's all fresh in my mind as I just booked my Christmas Ferries. ;)

Looks a good car. Rare Colour, Leather, everything works and a bunch of mods with the option to return to standard. The doorpods, steering wheel and alloys are worth a fair bit secondhand. Plus, the plate might be of interest to a Barry :) For those wary of travelling... Bangor is only 20 minutes from Belfast City Airport. Plenty of direct flights there from all over the UK www.skyscanner.net I'm sure Bob could arrange to pick you up from the Airport. For the return there are 2-3 times daily Ferries from Belfast and Larne to Cairnryan in Scotland or to Birkenhead Liverpool. www.aferry.co.uk Or you could drive to the Republic and catch the Holyhead ferry. GLWS! :)

For £600 I'd rather remove the trims and get the gutters smoothed & painted! No more trouble with trims then. What purpose do they serve anyhow? Are they designed to hold water until I open my window a crack then let loose through the gap?
-
High praise indeed. Same to you Sir. But let's not take the thread off track :)

The light just caught it the right way. It has its faults. Don't they all! :)

Fingers and toes. Just need to find end caps now. :) Dziękuję Karmannski!

"What is your name? Don't tell them Pike!" :) It's understandable if someone's gone to the trouble to make tools etc to make these things. Even more so if he's hoping to make a tidy profit. He won't like competition. But competition is good for Buyers. So I'm all for it. I think there's someone in Belgium making them too. But they immediately started slagging Karmannski's "Chinese Quality" etc when no one's even seen a set! Like come on, give the man a chance. I'm in Germany by the way. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted there.

Set of Genuine ones on eBay.de - €360 plus €10 postage!
-
I posted a link to these and some photos in the Corrado Club Deutschland E.V. public group on Facebook as well as BurnalltheCorrados. You know, trying to get the word out and help other Owners. What a poo storm that unleashed! No probs with BurnalltheCorrados. But the Germans got right upset. Their guy Andreas is already making these and he's right miffed! Let the market decide I say. His are more expensive but come with endcaps. I'm all for supporting you as a fellow Corrado.net member and for all the effort you've put into the order. I also think he's making quite a large margin @ €220 plus €12 postage (inside Germany). But that's just my opinion. I don't know his overheads. Maybe they cost a lot to make. Obviously there should be profit in it to cover the guys time but I think €150 would be more fair. IMO

Defo not. They've the stance VW should have given them :)

I'm up for a set, maybe two. Subscribing to the thread.
