Yeah, but you can ram much harder with a brass one  And yes, yes you can tell it's Friday
-
Erm, actually - don't use white spirit cos it'll make the surface slimey - use thinners or meths. And you really want a 1-2" brass roller to get into all the nooks and crannies - the plastic ones will break cos you've got to give it a good ramming. The secret to doing it properly is making sure the surface is clean, heating the sheet up before you stick it down and making sure it's properly stuck down in every little place it covers. If it's not stuck down properly, then it'll rattle and vibrate.

I've got the thick Skinz stuff in my C - it's about 4-5mm thick. Does the job nicely - can't hear any bass at all outside the car and very little other frequencies either...even when it's cranked up so loud that the seats are shaking 8)
-
Heh, cool but a little on the pricey side! The stabiliser wheels look a bit crap, but that's some good going with the engine! 700bhp from a 1.3!?!
-
Hmm, not very nice - should be good for BBQs at Le Mans tho! Looks like a Westie
-
As above - all the sound deadening products for cars (Dynamat, Skinz, Brown Bread et al) are essentially self-adhesive bitumen sheet. Some of them have foam padding on top as well, some are thicker than others and some stick to the car better than others. Otherwise, it's all pretty much the stuff tho.

 Yeah, that'd be a little "interesting"!

See, now that Veyron is a car worth spending £10k on cleaning 8) I'm assuming the guy that wrote the article was the same guy that did the Astra? :? Pah, he obviously hasn't seen my car - I'll show him some proper scratches

Heh, I just got confused searching for this when I found your previous thread asking the same question and replied to that instead...

Yup, could be that or the fuel pressure regulator. If you get it hooked up to VAG-COM it should tell you if the coolant sensor is dead or not.

The "Corrado" badge is held in with 4 lugs - carefully lever it off and you'll see. Do be careful tho as you could well snap it between the letters. The VR6/16v/G60/Storm badges are stuck on, so warm em up with a hair drier and again, carefully prise off.
-
They are just stuck on, so as suggested above - a hairdrier to warm it up and carefully prise off.

I don't bother paying to get a stamp in the book for mine. I buy the oil and filter and then write on the receipt the date and mileage when I change it. I've got a huge folder of receipts of mine, so don't see the need for a stamp.

If you've got red-tinted indicator lenses, then you do need green light to make the result orange (look up subtractive colour mixing if you don't believe me). Apparently Pug 206's use green bulbs in the red indicator lenses, so you may be able to get them from a Pug dealer. No idea whether they'll fit and/or if they're the right resistance tho.

Removing the rear wiper motor - any advice?

I had a Corsa for 3 yrs!
-
Get a Corsa and drive it with as much hate as you can muster  It'll be cheap to run and make you appreciate the Corrado so much more. That'd be an awesome plan with the MkI tho, but as others have said - you'll have two money pits begging for your cash...
-
Surely this isn't the place to be coming out?
-
Yeah, but I'm still deciding whether this year should be Climatronic and engine, or bodywork...
-
My knob looks like yours... or uh vice versa, whichever is the less gay sounding one.
-
The scary thing is, you've driven all the way back to IOM without noticing
-
Now that's what you should have refered people to in your article on beverageworld.co.uk the beverage website and coming soon - THE Beverage Forum! Ah no, see that's for amateurs - if you know what you're doing, then you already know how much to put in, so the milk goes in first, thus avoiding the scummy layer on top of the tea.
-
I'd go with that option first actually
-
Plus - it's cheaper to stick a turbo or supercharger on to get that kind of power (and more) than it is to do it NA. And as vdubjb says - most of the guys doing silly things here buy there parts from the states anyway...

Gear linkage needs setting up (there was a post on here earlier that had pics on how to do that) And/or the circlip under the gaitor is loose. My 2 guesses anyhoo. When the linkage was out of line on mine, I could sometimes get it into 1st instead of reverse, but not done it the other way round. Edit: Here, infact.
