    Changing Fuel Pump

Ideally clips with a smooth inside, as otherwise they'll cut into the fuel pipe. Also make sure you've got the right type o pump with the right sender on it. The old ones have been replaced and aren't interchangeable. Tempest had a post on this aages ago that you should be able to find with a bit of a search.
  2. Exactly - a nice few quid earned between doing other things. I seem to remember £1200ish from when someone asked a while back. Can't remember if that included door cards too, but I think it did.
  3. Have you been stalking me again?
  4. Shell(s)? I would also like to point out that I have just watched that video through 8 times
  5. Heh heh, managed to find it then ;) I said it was pretty 8) Edit: And the one that sounds like sex-wee is apparently a 1970 312B ;)
  6. Cool to see more of this guy's handiwork - he's a bit of a legend as the guy to go to if you need any upholstery work doing 8)
  7. and that is why you are a pervet From the man that sells ladies clothing on ebay...
  8. Should be arriving in your inbox now...just hope it doesn't overflow!
  9. I've started a wiki entry on this with pics, if you could put the text into some kind of logical order and post it up here, I'll get it put into the wiki properly :)
  10. matthewb1985 I'll send you what I've got...
  11. Says the man that drives a new Mini...
  12. Ah that is sucky news Andy :( Like you say tho - if the rear 1/4 is twisted then it probably means the chassis is also twisted and it's game over :( Hopefully you'll be able to get the insurance company to cough up soon tho and can start thinking about what to do. Don't want to sound like we're a pack of vultures or anything, but if you did have the space and more importantly - the time to break it, I'm sure you'd manage to shift most of it very easily.
  13. Just PM'd you one :) Edit: Gah - too big for PM, will email it to you instead :) Edit edit: Gah, PM me your email and I'll send it to you...
  14. Cool stuff so far and yeah, I agree with having somewhere to write events and wotnot and also that they'll be considerably cheaper to get printed :)
  15. But the early thin ones look sexier ;)
  16. Ah not sure - I remember buying the gearbox mount for £10 - £15, and assumed the rear one was similar. Could well be wrong tho.
  17. Well it's not technically wrong as it's my mum's address on there now - so I'll get any correspondence to that address. But it would be nice to have my actual address on there.
  18. Was gonna say it looks kinda like Nice Gay, but a bit more brown. Good colour tho 8) I bet you're well chuffed :)
  19. I know nothing, but might help if you edit your first post to put a bit more detail in the title. "Please help" tends to just get overlooked, but something like "Fuse 15 continually blowing" might help you out :) If nothing else, purely because it has 'blowing' in it
  20. Yeah, these things are way bigger than they look in photos - everything's in proporption so you don't notice  Would be rather nice to waft around in when I'm 60 tho :)
  21. Good point, I really should update the address (and photo) on my driving licence.
  22. My guess would be that you'd need to change the size of one of the capacitors to a smaller value in order increase the raise speed much further. What exactly you'd have to change and to what, I have no idea on though.
  23. The VR-specific rubbery/plasticy bits in question are: The 3 engine/gearbox mounts (not much different to any other C's mounts, but the front one is £70 for a VAG one, £150ish for uprated - rest are £15ish each), coolant hoses (usually £30ish a pop and there's 2 big ones that usually go), aux water pump (leccy pump that runs on after the engine's stopped and is about £100), main water pump (£40ish), possibly the oil pump (no idea), the infamous blue temp sensor (£5), the fuel-hoses that link to the fuel rail (£60 for the pair I believe!) and uuh that's all I can remember for now...
