can't wait to get a quick release steering wheel!
-
Great stuff, thanks mate. Are we limited on material colour at all? Doesn't have to be absolutely spot ballock but close-ish would be sweet. *Edit: unless the done thing is to spray them after but I guess skipping a step would be kinda cool. Soooo many Qs

So if I cobble together some measurements you'd be down for some printy action?
-
noyce. Sure they'll be enough interest for the odds n sods that go missing or whatever. Mine's a bit of an awkward, bespoke type jobber - a housing for the Racelogic controller. Big market there! Thinking of converting the ashtray in the dash to a slidey type of fing.

nice find! Pity it's a little on the moon buggy side and it defo don't sound like a chuffin Honda! -
That's a bugger. We need a resident 3D wizard. Might have to invest.

Yeh, anything like that to guarantee the gappidge isn't disturbed n'that
-
The other thing I'd recommend is one of them extended magnetic socket things from Halfrauds. Makes it sooooo much easier. The NGKs were 16mm on mine though.

Ah gwan then :)

If we all chip-in a tenner, I'm willing to go down there, drive it back and carry out the intervention :onfire:

I'm glad I asked :D Not too bothered about cost really. I'll look into the Phaetons. Cheers, m'dear.

Thanks for the reply. Yup, I'm aware that they only made the one. Being the awkward git I've gone and got the 280 rear conversion from the states which is now lacking a shield. Thought maybe someone would know if a shield from a golf/polo whatever could possiblky work... even with some minor modding. Meh, twas a fanciful punt.
-
This probably aint the place so please delete if need be, but is there a 280 rear shield compatible for the vr? Ta
-
yep - the box, cables, dials, arm all come out as one. Watch out for a couple of cable ties though. Also worth cable tying the eyes of the cables onto their perches.

Not sure how you've fdone it but I did it with the semi-dash removal method. Also, as I say, 1 of the bolts securing the heater box in was totally goosed for me. Had to buzz it out. Not sure what everyone else used to replace that bolt but 1 of these (which I had in the waggon was absolutely perfect http://www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-r-s1-kpu120-washbasin-fixing-kit-2-pcs/5866f 15 seconds of heat with a blow torch on the screw end, 10mm sliced off the thread end. Got me out a jam for sure to be sure.
