I like the cut of your jib :) Wavetrac, 3.68, turbo... *grabs cushion*
-
Ok thanks mate, I'll do that. From memory I don't think Nick got around to installing the set before selling and Vince thought they were OTT anyway. Wanna pull the trigger on a Wavetrac!
-
Anyone know what the current thinking on which gearbox internals to go for at the minute? Heard the Quaife is a little suspect, the gemini's disappeared and sqs I can't find a lot about. Might just 02m it. I appreciate this is veering slightly off topic so please delete if required.

Still can't believe RL have pulled their traction systems  No alternatives either (other than big, big bucks)
-
Bit of a long shot I know but after a RL unit (preferably the analogue with launch one). Thanks all.

Ha, it'll always be known as Keith's no matter what they call it :) Took the misses (now ex) in there to look at the now Scirocco in the window and the C went down really rather well. Funnily enough a mate who lives in Amersham (a couple of months later) threw me the keys to his Scirocco R for a quick blat and I believe the nugget still deserves that esteemed position. Spend the saved wedge over the road in the Hop Pole :)
-
Love me a nugget :) Great description that - "fits", totally get where you're coming from. Welcome from a relative noob.

Yeh properrr jarb on the paintwork there, remind me not to enter a show n shine with that! Yeh, looked at the Wilwoods, freakin sweet, but kinda had me heart set on the Tarox for a while. They're not massive, only 305mm but I kinda wanted to leave me options open for 16 inchers really and I'll almost certainly not track it or owt... oh and the cost played a part n'all! Throw some pics up when you've sussed the carriers up mate; can never get me enough of po-shh brakes :)
-
Sized up what spacer I'll need for me spangly new Tarox 6 pots, bit of a tidy with a bit of a winter idle... popped the heater matrix  Stripped out carpet, rescued SF mats, froze ballax off.

Spotted: no Santa hat on the logo
-
Holy sheeet, how did he not taste that!? She looks like she's had a dose or two n'all, face like a smashed lasagne. Sure this coming weekend will attest to that, I'll be on the Goke (Guinness & Coke) :D
-
No probs, anything to distract me from a tax return. Didn't notice the numbers from the small pic but that is absolutely correct yep.

Just to confirm that that digging was reliable I just popped off that pipe and I cannot blow up it but I can get a mouthful of coolant when sucking :gag:
-
Tbh, my memory is a little sketchy on flow direction, I only noted that the chamfer went into the pipe first (the pipe nearest the front of the car as you look at it). From a little digging the flow is heading towards the throttle body on that pipe so an aftermarket check valve would need its arrow pointing to the left as you're looking at it.
-
Oh and the little non return goes into the pipe nearest the rad on the throttle bottle; there's a small chamfer on the non return that enables it to slide into the pipe a little easier - this also determines the orientation for flow (at least on the OE one).
-
yeh these are great - I went for the OE with Roose branding to differentiate it from the standard a little more but keep on the right side of rice. Just a fyi for anyone looking to keep the constant tension clamps: it is tight! I had to use a remote clamp with a woodworking clamp attached to the handles on certain clips

25% off retail @ Awesome Gti on Milltek at the minute :) Just nabbed me some Tarox action :D

Championne, fanks Sean

Me too :) Never liked the flat one I put on. Also, what are people using to stick it? Mines peeled off with 'something90' or whatever it was. Cheers. Interested in a script and rear vr6 as well if you could pm prices. 94vr. Cheers

Yep, been there, not too long ago actually  There's a thread about this one now, which I should've done I guess. Must say, that biker seemed alright but didn't much care for his comment below the video (i'm paraphrasing) - "he did well to get it to 70!". Cheeky barstard. Do love that these cars only cater for those in the know :smug:
-
Anyone on here?!

I do really like my Audioscapes but I do wish they allowed for the step in the door card. If 3d was a viable option it'd defo pay not to use the pods as the be all and end all reference.

I'm in. 13's..? Bladdy hell. Never done a run but always thought I'd be late 14's early 15's. 3.68 with a wavetrac was gonna be the spring project, might have to bring it forward with those figures!
