Hell yeh, well up for this if the weather's decent. Kinda keen to see what a 3.68 can do :) -

2nd dibs on the tank straps if Jim decides otherwise. Oh and rear brake carriers and that flimsy plastic bit that sits just inside the boot. Fanks. -

"Bought on a Wim really as I use my garage for detailing and it's just not practicle to keep moving it in and out everytime I get a job in." Soooo every time someone turned up to have their motor detailed he flung his garage door open only to be dismayed by a big awkward red block... time after time after time. Frustrating and totally unexpected for sure. Who'd've thunk it :awesome:

I would've gone 3500ono. Felt like a kick in the knackers reading that! Comprehensive mechanical overhaul shouldn't be placed in the cheapo section for me. -

World's friendliest person Aylesbury @ 530. Blue storm. Fairly standard.

Hahaha, I've got a 10mm brake line spanner and some gorilla tape! Need to up me game :]

Saaweet. I'll do that then. Manage to squeeze it in the case then? Also thinking of getting together a basic tool/part kit together, but wondering what that might include! Might start a thread for that.

Been thinking that hump might be better served housing a fire extinguisher myself... Now thats confidence :D

36 hey, very nice. I'd have to be coasting for a good few miles at 50ish to achieve that. But 33mpg cruising at 75mph, I've never seen those figures before. Just on Amazon matey, didn't really do much shopping around though.

Thought it worth a mention. I had a vac leak about a month ago causing me to run poorly and coat the new cat, borla, lambda... christ knows about the valves, in a film of cack and in turn plummet the mpg :censored: . Fixed the leak (dead simple) along with a mini service of the maf and the mpg improved. Did a wee bit of research and came across this gear, complete with its sketchy name POWER ENHANCER. Hmmm. Reviews, on the other hand, were bliddy positive so thought bugger it. Won't comment too much on the power side but does feel more responsive (bugger, I commented on it). Placebo, maybe. Probably get the same increase from folding the mirrors in. BUT... MPG. Oh yes. 33mpg up to Alton Towers. 30mpg combined. And, ok, a little rudimentary, but the mpg rises quicker on the mfa! Gotta be 15% ^ easy :)

Couple of blokes on BurnAllTheCorrados (fb group) have done it - one as recent as the 18th of this month as it goes. I'd shout him. Personally i think it looks dog sh1t and god only knows what it drives like; I'll eventually go from 17 to 16 because it'll ride better hopefully. Best of luck.

Jubilee the bastido out of everything. Seems the smallest amount of unmetered air can really knacker your day. Yeh, just dump a load of maf cleaner (bought mine off Amazon) straight on it. I do wonder if the BMC fouls it easier as I seem to have to do it every 2-3 months. It's quite a wide spray angle so it wont nadger it. Little red can.

Feel for you mate. Does feel like you're chasing ya tail sometimes hey. Also learnt of late (along with the OE gear), never to underestimate vac leaks and I slightly grubby maf. My idle has never been sweeter... and after such menial jobs no less. Can of Maf cleaner and a jubilee. (Sorry to rub it in!) Sure it'll work out soon fella.

Huh, thought you sussed this. Bu66er. If you're going to replace the sensors I cannot stress enough how important getting the vw ones is. Even if you have to get them from Germany. I got a set from Avs, then heritage, and they were all no good. Experienced this in the last month. Febi and Meyle I think? Other febi gear I've had no issues with.

Roose coolant kit - somehow have 2 left over though (well, 3, was never getting to the back of the oil cooler). Kinda mystified as to where the 2 go  Oh and resprayed bonnet as a boulder took a liking to it. Bit orange peely but carpro's denim pad will munch that up double quick. Really feels like it's getting somewhere now

Finally got around to slinging the Audioscapes on - more of a faff than anticipated. Went for body colour (la9v) opposed to leather, as I was hoping it'd lift the gloom and it really, really does. Just the right side of Honda civic fartcan in the flesh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, used 2 rears and 1 front and they're still going strong a year on with the beacon of doom a distant memory.

Narh, just a lot of time spent groping blindly in the engine bay, and sifting through swathes of pics trying to catch a glimpse. Some might say that's time well spent I guess.
