  1. Yep, it's red, and it was caught trying to snog a tree.... Has a "Southwest Cruise" thing on the top of the windscreen...
  2. Er... dunno, haven't seen it yet... I'll pop around to the garage and pick one up in a minute... A259UYV...
  3. I'm waiting to get my camera back from Pentax at the moment, 'coz it decided the week before the AGM to only take photos when IT felt like it.... I'll put some up soon, as its not a daily driver now. Which is nice, as I can now keep the mileage down a little bit. Must get a cover for it though to protect the leather from fading.
  4. We don't poke fun at Golf owners..... we just abuse them    It's the Honda owners we poke fun at.... (although not to their faces, they might scratch our Corrados.... 8) )
  5. Oooh, nothing like that.. can't get near 'er in her current state..... Put it another, nother way. I can't join in camping at GTi International. So I've found a nice little B&B not too far away.... and am expecting a dash into the local hospital around September this year.... (this will be in the Vento - don't want to spoil those nice leathers do I...)
  6. Surely not a good idea to set fire to your rear tyres at 100mph though....
  7. Soon to have a new (simpler to remember) domain
  8. Well, I might make it up there if I can screw myself out of work for the day. Not as easy as it could be.
  9. Well, ya know... I HAVE just bought a street-sleeping four-door....
  10. given a choice and of course if they were both in the same condition i would go for the campaign now which i think is worth easy up to a couple of grand premium over a similar age vr6........if you could live with the brick-red interior  which not a lot of people like.....but i do the only minus point imho is the older style heater controls The Leather is quite easy to live with, plus you get Heated, electric Recaros which you don't get in a Storm, just standard sofas. The heater controls...? Aw c'mon, such a hardship  I know at least three of the Campaigns are below 90k miles (mines at 67k atm), not certain on the other two. James Shillaw thinks he has found the final (unaccounted for) one in Suffolk.
  11. If I wanted the Carpet ones I would probably go for something like the AutoStyle mats which are MUCH better quality fit and finish to the VW ones, but the rubber ones are a lot better wearing for the car. I have a set of carpet ones for the Scirocco which, after about 8 years of using (not many miles, but lots of cleaning) are looking a bit tired now. :(
  12. c'mon then, own-up who is it...
  13. Or... if you want a Rare Corrado - really rare, really really REALLY rare, then there's a Campaign for sale at the moment like, only 6 made and 5 left.... for £6,200, roughly 80k miles.... (not mine!) Let me know for details... :)
  14. Were these the rubber mats though...? I was actually told by my main dealer that they no longer did these... but it could've been that they just weren't trying... :(
  15. Thought, as a little addition I'd add the following comment from their forum... "Just becase the VW boys thought it Ok to speed around the exit road that doesn't make it Ok for us!" There was a couple of Corrados "hooting it around", so please DO NOT do this again. If you feel the need to speed, kindly don't do it on a museum car-park where there was a number of little kiddies wandering around, and lots of expensive machinery....
  16. Interesting thing I noticed whilst on the "Honda Revoltings" forum was that there are several posts about the "behaviour" of their members at the event, which I must say was a bit iffy with several jap cars "booting" it around the car park (particularly on tw*t in his S2000 that I noticed). It appears that they had some complaints from the staff at Gaydon. Corrado owners club, not a bad word from the staff. Does this say something about the general behaviour of the "Honda Generation...?"
  17. Well, I actually registered it for the club's email addresses so I could standardise them. Seems a quicker name than "vw-corrado-club.co.uk", too many dots and dashes for me.... If you want I'll put you down as an Admin user on the domain. It's got pretty much as much space as you are gonna need for the web-site (I've leased the server that it's on, so I can control it). If you can keep the "forum" seperate, but we can put a link on the web-site to the forum and probably the "yahoo-group" too, as lots of people seem to be double posting backwards and forwards. I'll be in after about 10:30 tomorrow, so ping me then...
  18. Answers on a postcard, please.... Right, okay. I can probably help you with the what "alterations" need doing to the site, I might be able to help with the "Domain" problem (already have a new domain setup for it actually http://www.corradoclub.co.uk anyobdy?), you answer to the club members, but more specifically the rest of the committee (so don't stuff it ;-) ) Give me a bell on 0116 269 8139 tomorrow and we can discuss it, or just drop a mail to mailto:[email protected]
  19. Andi, do you actually WANT to be on the committee?
  20. Probably isn't worth much. First things first, 32 at the moment, I had a Scirocco GL at the age of 20 (bought at 19) - back in the days when they were worth something then... I had my fun with a Ford Essex V6 lump in my Granada......... Hearse... great fun. 0-60 10 secs (ish) cruising up the motorway at 90 in the fast lane.... in a hearse... Lots of interesting looks I can assure you, or how about when I had a trailer attached to the back. We always used to say we had room for a whole family with the hearse and the trailer....  It was a great workhorse until it died one afternoon, we buried it soon afterwards....
  21. He he - thanks Darren, I'll be there of course, I'll probably be there early as I'm gonna be up early to watch the GP... off to bed soon so I can be up for qualifying...
  22. The 40k...? Is it mostly bumpy around town driving? If so, it could be time to have a look at the standard suspension parts? Konis all around made a hell of a difference to my G60, lowered it slightly too, but because they were adjustable it meant it was great around town and also nice on long trips too...
  23. I think, if it's next year, I'd possibly wait and see if we have a Corrado Club National Day as we're planning this year. Last time we had one we had over 120 Corrados turn up and a great day was had by all. This years event is shaping up to be a mega event if we get the go-ahead at the AGM, and I can't see much a problem for that. As to AGM vs GTi Int. It's a no brainer really, go to GTi, weekender with some of the boys (and gals) and you get to see lots of other motors too....
