Thought of another one - The Mrs' Seat Arosa, with Teddy Ronals.... ;-)
-
Bah - common as muck ;-) Only kiddin', but yeah Fake Storms are a common complaint of Corrado owners, same with Scirocco Mk1s too....
-
The hairdressers in front of our office have the following cars in the car park... Pug 306 Cabrio Pug 206cc BMW Z3 Cabrio BMW 3 Series Cabrio, brand new (the secretary's - somebody's parents have tooo much money) New MR2 (this is the lad who works there's admittedly, but then we're all sure he's benter than a 2 bob note ;-)

I'll probably be along (especially at Stealth)
-
Shame it's had aftermarket alloys fitted... any idea on price and/or details...
-
Most of the first "UK" launch ones were 16vs 'coz they hadn't brought any G60s over...
-
Still gotta love Nothelle Classics
-
However, I DO take issue with the "Reasonable Expenses" for the Web-Master alone
-
I'll back you up on it :?
-
The Golf doesn't mention it's engine size, so I assume it's a 1400....
-
Yeah, I've got one..... Tend to only use it for long journeys though, so if I go to shows it goes on. Also one thing to bear in mind if you store your car outside is the difference in fading that will occur..... Seen a few (American) cars with strange stripes on the bonnet...

Strangely, I see a lot of C's purporting to be Dusty Mauve for sale at various places, I've a horrible suspiscion that it was offered as a standard colour later in the Corrado's life, but am trying to get confirmation from VAG at the moment. Still, Dusty Mauve and Red Leather, rare as a Liberian prime-minister trying to do an Arnie impression ("I'll be back!")
-
Talking of AMD Corrados (mine too  ), now Nassar has quit his job he's sold his C too..... [web]http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail ... IYP6&s=177[/web] The coolest people drive Corrados

ooooo Nothelle Classic Wheels - Wheels to die for! Nearly got a set for the G60 about 5 years ago, but the bloke selling 'em bent one the week before I was gonna pick them up and it was gonna cost £400 for a new one.... They stopped making 'em a few years ago, I did enquire about a new set..... I'll see if I can find out what they did to the engine for yous guys. I seem to remember they did a 3.1l conversion for the Golf 2.8 VR6, can't remember exact details, but I'll see if I can find something out.

Don't think the 8v Corrados had Sunroofs and it was an option in the first year...
-
Cheers Roddy, never discount the Campaign.... (sighs and wonders if that other one is still for sale.... :? )
-
65k, bought 17 months ago with 62k....

Just thinking here.... on my third after 7 years of ownership (I think...) 2xG60s and 1x Campaign. I've owned Sciroccos for 14 years now as well... :)
-
I was gonna say actually, if it comes down to it, you'd be better off putting a Vento against a Corrado really. (I've got both ;-) ) The Corrado has a much higher top end and seems to handle better, but the Vento is certainly no slouch. It cost me about a third of the price of the Corrado, and probably about half the price of the equivelant Golf too.... Plus if you're canny you can get them with AirCon....

On my Vento when you have the engine running if you've selected the Trip Computer that comes on, or when the key is out it shows the total mileage....

Identifying members of the forum at the CCGB Day?
Campaign replied to Rams's topic in General Car Chat
Well, just look for that red leather... I'd be interested in meeting at Leicester Forest East services though guys (it's about 10 miles from me and I've gotta go that way anyway...) -
I'd say that the VR6 isn't any more fuel hungry than a G60 in day to day motoring really. But if you're used to that "fun" power surge, then I'd say stick with the GCharger that you know well and go for the G60. They're more of a fun car to chuck around as they're not as front-heavy, so handle (slightly) better..... Just my 0.2 (puts on flame-proof suit again!)

RESPECT MY AUTHORITA! Well, it's nice to be wanted sometimes isn't it? Event date is indeed 24th August at Woburn Abbey, just outside Milton Keynes. No map available at the moment. Club VR6 were invited to hold a joint day, but declined, so it's a Corrado day. However, non-members are welcome to come along (in their Corrados ;-) ) But members will get discounted entrance to the event. Can't remember exact pricing, but I think it's a £5 discount.

One thing to bear in mind chaps and chappesses... if he gets a bid, but it doesn't reach the reserve price then he still has to pay the ebay commission on it, which by my reckoning would be about.... £300.... Somebody really out to bid on it, just to teach him a lesson
