  1. I believe Jamie has got the web-site developed fully now, and is doing some performance and beta testing this week. You will notice that there is a new header page for the site on http://www.corradoclub.co.uk and I think he wants to get it up and running by the end of the week.
  2. I should be there, what time are you starting ?
  3. The production on that last Westlife album was amazing 8)
  4. Don't laugh, the Caddy won a couple of the races I think....
  5. Are you certain it's Dusty Mauve... BTW DON'T SHOUT - IT'S RUDE!
  6. Mike, at AMD I registered 205 on the Campaign. The only thing its got is a ReMap, and we're not certain who did it either.... :) Funky, I'm still not certain if I can make it or not (sproglet still hasn't appeared). Sorry for messing you about. I'm sorry I can't get a deposit out to you, but I will endeavour to turn up anyway. (although which VR6 I will come in I don't know!)
  7. Roddy, I wasn't disputing your comments :) I doubt that any "dealers" put the badges on the wrong cars, but owners certainly did. Jim, I think there were quite a few storms that didn't get the badges originally, as some dealers probably "forgot" to put them on. There were quite a few uncrupulous "traders" who put the badges on non-storms though
  8. There IS a big chance though that dealers were selling Storm badges for non-storm cars. I know for a fact that some of them did do this (my Campaign used to have Storm badges on it  )
  9. It's ony 13 miles from me too..... 8)
  10. I found the best place for the tweeters was at the top of the A-Post, had 4" mid-ranges in the dash-pods and mid-bass drivers in the door pods. Worked wonderfully.... then I sold the car
  11. Shaun Ryder's one that was nicked was a Red 16v.... Also, olympic cyclist (can't remember his name now) had one, and used to be in the CCGB. Clarkson loves 'em, but I don't think has ever had one. The bald car-dealer blokey off "Right Car, Wrong Car" used to sell them, so he must have owned one.
  12. I looked at about 20 insurance companies when insuring the Campaign as I'd just bought the Vento so use that most of the time. From what I could see there were only a few (and I mean a few) companies who even considered it a "Classic" car, and would do it on either a limited mileage policy or even agreed value (more important for the Campaign). In the end, I ended up getting a standard insurance through Liverpool and Victoria because it worked out about £300 per year cheaper than the cheapest "classic, agreed value" insurance", after about 5 years I wouldn't have even saved anything by insuring it this way. The Scirocco Storm is a completely different matter (strangely). I have this on a "classic" policy (no claims not dependent, garaged and low-mileage). It costs me..... ... ... .. .. .. .. . . . . £129 per year. This is with all modifications notified about and valued at £3,500. Strange how things go isn't it
  13. Not being terribly good with colours (slightly colour-blind y'see!) I tend to describe it as "light black, with Gold and Silver metallic". Really does shine up nice, the top photo doesn't do the colour any justice whatsoever really does it :(
  14. I'll post some comments on here later, bit tired at the moment. Personally, quickly though, transporting a car to Canada would be prohibitively expensive to be honest. You're probably looking at about £3-4k. The Storm had special wheels too. The Campaign had electric Recaro seats too. There is one for sale (as far as I know) but it's been for sale now for 9 months.....
  15. Dusty Mauve was only available on Campaigns tooo
  16. That's the point Andy, lots of people can say that ;-)
  17. There are two sirens on the car, one outside, one inside. This did save my Sciroccos once or twice before now as the person couldn't sit in the car having popped the bonnet and snipped the alarm siren under the bonnet.
  18. Beetle_bug - if you're in the Corrado Club they've got a spare bonnet for sale, think it was about £150....
  19. Can't see it..... ...... Oh yeah, it's in my Parent's Garage.... (with Red Star alarm linked to Police station, 100 yards down the road) 8)
  20. I could do with changing the membrane on the driver's door. Also, anybody know how to get the plastic cover off the Cam Cover without breaking it and removing all kinds of other bits? Mine's cracked on the Corrado and was gonna swap it with the one from the Vento...
  21. But it's definitely not the Coventry, Sheffield or Scotts cars as they're accounted for...
  22. Shame we can't confirm which one it came from, though I suspect it was one of the London ones, as I did hear that one was in a particularly bad state about 5 years ago now. :?
  23. Pug 205 Diesel.... just.... horrible! Fell to bits, wipers stopped working.... glow plugs cost a fortune....
  24. Okay, not certain that it IS the Scotts car for sale, but it has certainly been THROUGH Scotts at some point. The car IS a genuine Campaign (right VIN etc.) As far as I'm aware, the car has been for sale for some time because a) the owner moved house and wasn't actively trying to sell it b) the owner seems to want to sell it to an "enthusiast" rather than a boyracer, so is keeping the price high, although (not to diss it) it is in need of some TLC. All seems in order though and all original. If it's not the Scotts car it is almost certainly one of the "London" cars (there were three of them). I've got the Gilders (Sheffield) car, and its not the Listers (Coventry) car, the other 4 were... Scotts of Sloane Square (apparently in Ipswich) Dovercourt (St. Johns Wood) Dovercourt (Battersea) Karmann of Barnet As a final note, I have to quash the myth that one has been written off. This was started (possibly by myself I'm afraid) because an apparent "Campaign" interior was for sale up in Manchester which I was offered. It turned out NOT to be a Campaign interior at all, due to lacking the dashboard AND, importantly, the head-rest logos. So I think it fair to say that there are still all six in existence.
