anyone got any nice shiney Bbs bolts they wanna sell me! mine are pretty awfull and wont look to good with the polished outers :-) i could get them re-coated although i think i got quoted somink like £50 and new ones are about £120 for a full set of chromes! this Bbs business certainly isnt cheap !

just ordered the 215/35 sport contacts! £45 each! bargain... Sending the centres and outers to "the polisher" on the E38 forum so they can do a top job and all should be ready for E38...yay :) Getting the outers polished and the centres and the caps powder coated in a high gloss silver finish, so should look quite nice. ive just gotta clean up / polish all the bolts that hold the wheels together. I was going to be proper keen and do all the refurb my self, but its just impossible for me at the moment i am working too much and wont have the time to fit everything else in before september, so i am being lazy and paying someone else to do it...

Awesome vidz!!!!!! -
what about 215/35 continentals? least they would be the same as the fronts? they are ok from my experience
-
still not sure as to what tyres to for yet! i ve seen a few 205 profile kumhos stretched onto a 9 inch rim and they seem to fit very nicely! and the prices are ok aswell :-) all i have to do now is get the centres powder coated and polish up the bolts and dishes and all should be good for E38!

i dont think ive seen one g60 with a bmc type filter... would be interesting to see any differences??? -
yes mate they are indeed 9"s wide on the back.
-
it will be driven daily, i will use the D90s as a winter wheel tho so the splitties wont be used during winter, so wont be attacked by the salty roads. 8) i am having a bit of a dilemma on tyres tho.... Dunno whether to go for 205/40s or 215/35s on the rears!
-
well i am going to be painting the centre myself... so prob gonna go with a high power / gloss silver.. also prob gonna get the rims either polished or chrome powder coated... need to see you pics of this effect first, i believe darren mentioned it on another thread.

Trial fitted the bbs split rims today.. Used my porsche adapters.. 30mm back 25mm front.. Think i could do with a thinner adapter on the front although the rears seem just about right. 8) Going to go 25mm adapter at the rear and maybe get another thinner 15 - 20mm adapter for the front Gonna go with 195/40/R16 fronts & 215/35/R16 for the rears i think maybe?? piccies... may also keep the centres sprayed silver after seeing what they look like on the car... 8)

yeah i was thinking that... although i dont wanna copy billijahhs colour coding :) then again it would be a different colour. Gonna try and do something with the centre caps aswell , they are a little to tall for my liking, might look into possibility of making then shorter. just splitting them this minute! they are a right bastard to get apart , everything is apart, except the middle cntre rim, cant seem to seperate it from the inner rim....any tips ??
-
Right guys and gals! it starts here, what do it do with these?? i have 3 ideas at the moment.... 1. Rims polished - athracite centres 2. Rims polished - Silver centres 3. Rims polshed - coloure coded cetres... (moonlight blue) i like the idea of all of them , although i think iam leaning towards 1 & 3??
-
One other thing to add is that there is a nice new toilet to use aswell :)
-
When is the open day ? LOL :-)
-
woohoo! taken a while hey darren... :)
-
if your in a position to easily change anything, then i would do it... will save you time later on and atleast you can say its been done.
-
it really is quite amazing how much difference it makes isnt it, especially during the summer months! are you running a single stage kit or a duel?
-
got any pics darren... I was thinking of maybe getting the centres done in an anthracite colour... :) and then either polish the rims or get them powder coated in a nice shiny finish... i just havent seen an examples of this chrome effect powder coating yet...
-
excellent cheers! does anyone know if the bolts that hold the rims together "HAVE" to be replaced with new ones??
-
