cheers steve,i was thinking that but it seems to be more of a solid noise if you know what i mean? :? i took the rear top rubbers off and found that the metal washer things(supplied with konigs) were squashed and knackered :? also i dont know how tight the rear nut should be as i cant get the original top plate on? any ideas m8? :(

cheers guys,ive dropped it more on the rear now,i reckon its about right. thing is theres a lot of banging,dunno what it is,and also a rumbling noise from the front. :mad: sorry not the best pics.

any update on this m8 :?: mines pulling to the left continuously but more so under power. :x just fitted coilovers and its still doing it. anyone got the camber/tracking settings for the g60? cheers,neil.

if only id have known that before :!: ahh well,fitted the rears today,im not happy with the stance yet,think it either needs dropping more on the rear or raising a touch on the front. thing is though,there seems to be some strange noises,cant work out what they are. couldnt fit the metal plates on the rear shock towers either,is this normal? why is modified stuff never perfect! :x neil.

probably worth checking the gear oil level. on the 8v/16v boxes 5th sits highes and is first to suffer from low oil level. i could be wrong :oops: it could be any no. of things really. someone more vr6 orientated will be along shortly to help. :lol: neil.

check for a little blue wire coming from the battery m8,it should run across the front of the engine bay to the alternater. sounds like its come off/snapped to me. neil. :)

aye i was a bit suprised m8,im used to paying around £12 a side for the mk1's :!: i was gonna just go the whole hog and buy new wishbones/bushes/etc,i normally do so i know everythings right,but i just went for the rear top rubbers as well as fronts,in fact dunno how much they are yet :roll: neil.

cheers guys. :D GIXXERUK, i do try to go for genuine parts where i can,but i got the top mounts from a local parts company who my m8 uses at his garage,theyre sks? he said theyre a good make and come from germany. £20 a side,i think they were £30 a side at the stealers? thing is im skint and ill probably be selling it when ive got rid of some other motors. neil.

cheers guys,cant wait to get the rears on looks like a dragster at the mo! :lol: Shilakadaddy, yep fitted new top mounts m8,no clonking or anything,there was a slight clonking before but one of the mounts was a little tired. could you possibly replace top mounts without having to remove the struts? neil.

:lol: its mental,when i pulled away it was scraping the middle of the road! ill be raising it up when i do the rears. neil.

yep i just used a dremmel type thing guys,and then finer and finer sandpaper/wet n dry to get the polished effect. yeah sure m8,ill have to see if mine runs after fitting this one first though! ill let ya know when ive fit it,then just remind me. :D yeah no probs m8,but im no expert myself :oops: so i couldnt garentee any bad running or poor gains,im guessing what ive done should be ok though,maybe best to see how mine runs after fitting first and then post it to me if you want. neil. :)

thanks m8,ive managed just the fronts on their own today! its dropped 3.5 inch! whats that in mm??? :lol: really does need raising/setting up,but ill do it once the rears are on. :) neil.

i was gonna fit the konigsports... took a front leg off and saw that the inevitable had happened,someone keyed the wing and door basically. put the original shocker back on,drove home,and decided to sell up every car and part i own,including the g60. ive had enough of cars and plenty other things in life to be honest. sorry for the depressing sh1t post but there ya go :roll: neil.

yep,its just snapped? :shock: is this a common thing on the g60? :? !! and dx engine as in mk1 1800 8v? neil.

oh the slight leak is just from the breather pipe,noticed mine was split the other day,maybe worth checking yours. they shouldnt need a jubilee,but wouldnt harm to put one on and keep the bay a little more oil free :D neil.

you have a green inspection plug missing from your gearbox m8,what you can see is the flywheel. an easy fix,just not sure where you would get one? neil.
