Yep, thats it is. Not the most inventive username, all I could come with at the time
-
That sounds like the one :) Do you live in the area? Yeah about 2 miles away from there mate - between Egham and Virginia Water. There are a few around here but I hardly ever see any :( You a regular around here too?
-
The lowered one between Egham and Staines will be me mate :D (assuming it was a black one).
-
The inside of the switches gets gunked up as well, so worth dismanlting and cleaning them.
-
I think there is some info on Dubforce about this. The reason most people don't use them on the G60 AFAIK is that the boost delivery does not suit the revving charcteristics of the G60 engine. The G lader will deliver almost peak boost from relatively low revs whereas the Rotrex is more progressive. The result being a relatively gutless midrange.
-
I think that looks really good mate :salute:
-
Got my copy yesterday - even got my article in it :D , although haven't dared read it yet as I can't remember whether I proof read it before I sent it or not.
-
Cheers mate, got them from Dub Design Industries (DDI) in Canada. I think they have a Uk vendor for some of their products now (for some reason Awesome springs to mind for selling their gauge kits) so they might be able to get them without paying huge amounts for postage.
-
If you're using spacers over 5mm (or may even be 3) then you will need longer bolts. I got mine from G-Werks when I had wheels made with a different offset.
-
You're too kind mate... It's in need of a bit of TLC at the moment after winter. Hadn't planned on going to UD, although I will have a bit of time on my hands at the weekends as of March so if I can get the work done that needs to, I might make it there this year.

Quote from the PVW website... "It may not be pretty or particularly forgiving but Ollie Strickland-Miller’s home-brewed 637bhp all-wheel-drive Corrado is taking no prisoners."
-
  Nice...
-
Was having a quick shufty through Smiths last night in Waterloo, and in PVW there was a road legal 637(?)bhp 4x4 VR6 rado  The articles said it was the most powerful road legal one in the country. Anyone on here? If it is why have you kept it quiet so long....

This turned up on the post today, and by the middle of this evening it was built :D . Unfortunately a few missing pieces, but have managed to source all th bits I nee for a couple of quid. If only our bits were as cheap

Thanks for verifying Yan. I am one of those with a 70 degree thermostat, and it always concerned me a bit where the 'hot' and 'cold' running changeover was.
-
I must admit I though it was 80 degrees as well Yan. However 60 degrees would explain why people with the 70 degree thermostats aren't running with it on the 'cold' setting all the time.

The brown bulb holder should push out from the back of the faceplate (push on the 2 flat pins). The pins can then be pulled out (you'll need to grip them firmly with pliers as they are a tight fit into the brown plastic). This should then release the bulb.
-
The bulbs are not available separately from VW and the faceplate is not designed to be dismantled. However it can be, although it will need gluing together afterwards. Basically just fit a 12v bulb from Maplins thats the same physical size as the original. Quite a few have done that so there should be some threads on here about it.

The 'black 2 piece casing' sounds more like the plastic box that is standard on the corrado. The one in the picture is a Rallye/Golf G60 U bend which is for full size intercoolers.
-
Cool, ok mate. I seem to remember it was about that (or a bit less I think I got them when the pound was a bit stronger). Thre is a company in the UK - Awesome perhaps, that have the DDI dials. Perhaps they can get the other items from them as well?
-
Hi there, and don't worry about the hijack. Yes, I ordered direct from ddi (postage wasn't nice) and they were a bit of a pain. Mostly becuase the adhesice they came with was crap. I had to spend ages removing it all (without bending the sills) and the stuck them down with 3M trim tape - the proper stuff not the rubbish from halfords. If you're nearby you're more than welcome to come and have a look.

Must admit, I'm not thinkng of doing it to get the insurance discount, more to help with some of the bad habits and frequent red mist that descends.
-
Thanks for the input. Sounds like a good idea then, I'll look into it :D
-
Been thinking that it may be time to address some of my bad habits acquired over the years behind the wheel. Is anyone on here a memeber of the Instiute of Advanced Motorists or one of the similar organizations? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on whether it is worth it.
