  1. Right, dug out some old paperwork - seem to recall you need to swap pin 2 and 5 on the drivers side one, from the information given in the other link. This make sure that the rh switch operates the driver window and the lh switch the passenger window. Of course I could be wrong - it was 4 years ago that we did this :cuckoo:
  2. I've done it with mine, but a long time ago. Try this.... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27329&highlight= I seem to recall there was something slightly different that needed doing on the drivers side as Daves instructions came fom a LHD wiring diagram. If it was done as it then the buttons on the drivers side ended up the wrong way round (i.e. the one on the left operated the drives side and the one on the right the passenger side - if that makes sense). If I find anything further on it I'll let you know....

    JMC's G60

Cheers g60greeny. Going in for a new 1.9 engine with G-Werks next week. Will be a new car then
  4. Yeah, I thought about that. Problem was at the time I did that bit all by hand with a file and wet and dry paper. With hindsight I should have done it using a dremmel, it would have been sooo much easier.
  5. Thread revival.... Finally got round to putting the throttle body back together (after figuring out how it all fitted). Just in time for the new engine next week :D Probably make no difference whatsoever, but heh, it was fun to do

    Intake

Here's a bit on how I did mine... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=34451&start=75 You need to remove all the cabon cannister rubbish (which will tidy up you engine bay as well). Then you have a nice big space to bring some ducting up through from under the bumper. Relocating the outside air temp gauge will give you an idea of incoming air temperature as well :D

Cheers Bally. You have PM :D

    JMC's G60

Sorry mate, don't have the part number, but you can get them from vagparts.co.uk (search for torch) if that's any use :D

    JMC's G60

Oooh, fame. Yep, it is on there, although it has loads done since I wrote that. Really need to get back on there and rewrite the information so it's a bit more up to date

    JMC's G60

Yet again I seem to have gone ages without posting anything. Well my resprayed headlining is now in along with all of the trim that I did. Overall I'd say the plastic spray is great for the trim, but it does make the fabric feel slightly rougher and is quiet easily marked. If you don't want the expense and hassle of trimming it in some different fabric then it is a great cheap alternative however. In the end it cost me about £50 to do the A, B, and C pillars, the sunvisors, and all the headlining and sunroof (of which £30 was the headlining and sunroof). Been an experience and the car is sooooo much quieter with all the trim back in. Will hopefully have more to report soon after the new engine goes in 8) :D

    soundproofing?

Usual to keep the felt like material under the carpet. The soundproofing (as you say) is just a thin layer on the metal work to stop it being so tinny.
  13. Isn't anything to worry about. it means your carbon cannister has been removed (along with a load of redundant pipework). Search for Carbon Cannister Removal and G60, and hopefully all will become clear.

    HEADLINING, Colours?

It is vinyl/plastic paint supplied by dgarwood on here (see a few posts back and you should find him). I sprayed the headlining directly. Few things I would say - it needs a lot of paint. I used 2 full cans on that and to be honest it could do with another one, to get it really evenly covered. To be honest I don't think any of the varaibility will be visible in the car, but it's down to how much of a perfectionist you are (which I am   ). Also I haven't done the sunroof yet as I can't get it out of the car - therefore that is going to be fun as it will be sprayed in the car.

    Why 268's?

Leons got a set of 263's, new from a recent group, in the for sale section at the moment for £195 I think. These are apparently good for NA of forced induction VR's.

    HEADLINING, Colours?

Thanks. Just had a quick feel (oo er), and it doesn't feel any different to me.
  17. Maybe just my sense of humour, but PMSL   you sick mofo   [/quote:3dw5tpeg] Sorry boost monkey, couldn't resist. Still giggling about it now tho

    HEADLINING, Colours?

Relatively - I took out the A B and C pillars, the bit between the C pillars, the sunroof and interior light trim, and the sunvisors. If you were to do it all at once it would probably take a good couple of hours. The only bit which I'm still wondering about (and need to do) is the sunroof itself. I really don't want to take it out so I think I will spray it in the car (with loats of sheets everywhere) as there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get it out without disconnecting loads of stuff :(

    HEADLINING, Colours?

No, unfortunately not, but it was the usual dirty beige.

    HEADLINING, Colours?

Right, given it 2 tins, and it is starting to look good. Being fabric it is just soaking up the paint, but it is getting there :D :D

  22. Been there, done that  Yep, easy to do, and looks good as new. Dgarwood is selling some vinyl/plastic spray at the moment and I've been using that to respray most of my interior trim. Seems pretty good. Also been using the some other stuff called Vinylkote from Woolies (not Woolworths) car restorers. It is a 3 part system, a cleaner, a prep (which softens the plastic) and the spray. The idea is that the plastic once softened takes the paint slightly into it and you get a much better bonding. Costs alot more than the normal plastic spray though. There should be some pics in my gallery....
  23. Yep, the grey bit is the temperature sensor. Of course if you're like me, you've relocated it to a cold air feed coming up where the carbon cannister used to be (on my G60) to monitor air temps coming into the air box :D
  24. Okay folks, will be taking my headlining out soon. While it's out is it actually worth soundproofing the roof (given I have done the boot and front doors and rear quarters)? Has anyone actually done is?? And if so what is the best thing to use - dynamat or the lighter acoutic foam that audioscape used to sell? Any advice would be great thanx.
  25. Seem to recall its a 'clocks out' thing, but you don't need to take the clocks to bits (you can get at the bulbs from the back of the clocks unit).
