Ooooooooo Got all excited today!!! Finally figured out the problem with my Methanol injection system and bar some fine adjustment now on the boost pressure switch it's all running spot on!!! Also drained the water system and refilled using Radtec's "Coolboost" Water Wetter! so we'll see if that helps to keep my water temp down. Finally I also fitted my Ali power steering fluid bottle made by Radtec! Needs polishing as does the Methanol Tank but that I'll do later! Pics up soon!!!!

I must admit that I recently flicked through the last issue (not the latest but one before) while sat in a garage and actually it wasn't the Chav mag it has been in the past. No soft porn at all throughthe pages and the cars weren't too chav either - Even doing features on how to do certain types of jobs!!

WOW!!!! Got the 50mm pulley on it this weekend and also the smaller belt to ensure no slippage! Bloody Hell it's getting a bit silly now!!! Methanol Inj still not working which is getting on my tits! I can hear it kick in when I switch the ignition on 80% of the time yet it's still not squirting when on boost. Really hope I don't have to strip it all out and rewire it!!! Even so well impressed with the power delivery now! It's just off!

What an absolute load of.............poppycock (the best non-swearing word that came into my head!!) The G60 is already starting to attract more money than alot of VR's out there now! G60 is more a classic as also a rarer car. But probably best not to spark up the whole G60vsVR debate. Just commenting in terms of classic status!! However - as already stated they will both become classics in their own right!

I'm almost positive that the mini rims will fit. The BBS LM's that Mike used to have on his and now on Rado_Steves are actually designed for a mini!!!

Wayne - Chipwizards mapped my car and also Hennys. All I can say is he's bloody amazing!!! Albeit as long as you can get booked in with him. He does alot of race cars and also high end sports cars!!!

I presume you mean the CO Pot in the boost tube by map sensor. You'd put it afterwards, otherwise the ECU would try and compensate for it!

You've got to remember that the boost showing on the gauge is only measured on back pressue of the system, if your head flows well it will show a low reading, that doesn't mean it's not creating the boost, just it can't be measured as the head is just lapping it up!

Well today I managed to run an earth wire from the battery in the boot to the front of the car and now it starts fine, seems it was just a bad earth. So finally managed to get it running! The Methanol Inj still isn't working, the pump seems to work intermittently for some reason! However, was the funniest drive I have ever had as everyone stopped turned round and stared!! IT'S SOOOOO LOUD!!! However on the bad side, I either need a smaller pulley or I have a boost leak as it's not registering as mouch boost as it should be and it's definatly down on power with the standard pulley! Think I might have to get a 50mm on it! Will try and get pics later!

I will second that! i have had these cams in 2 cars now..by far the best cam in terms of quality.. and does the job very well too! I'll third it!!! :lol: I have this Cam in my G60! Doesn't idle lumpy, cracking choice for the G60

GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Seems I have a fault in my electrics when moving the battery to the boot as it seems to not be getting power to the front end. But I can't be arsed to start pulling it to bits in the rain!!!

Or go to your local Pirtek! Thats where I had mine made up and they can do them on the spot!

Well it's all ready to fire up (bar checking and topping up fluid levels!) Wanted to leave it to morning as I'm in an excited mood and going out! Didn't want to ruin that mood if something went wrong! So first thing in the morning I'll be waking the neighbours!!!!! Also finally sorted the Methanol injection system and that is also ready to test before actually plugging it in to the boost pipes! Got the injection tube coming out of the engine bay and tucked under the windscreen wiper to see if it fires when it is supposed to!!!! I've now also modified it so I have two stage injection, one before the intercooler and the other after the CO Pot!! Can't wait til the morning but fingers crossed!!!!

I've been on a mission for the past week getting stuff done. Now I've finished the Lysholm install. Finally (after a year!) got the methanol injection all set up and ready to go! Just need to fill it up and test it before actually plugging it into the intercooler and boost pipes!!! Fitted new spal fan and also Nology Hot Wires.!! Also moved the battery to the boot and put in various distribution units and fuse systems to be extra careful! Finally I also tidied up all the wiring under the engine bay, rewired parts of it where wires where looking tatty!! Can't wait to check all the fluids in the morning and fire it up to hear that noise of the Lysholm. But leaving it until the morning just incase there is an issue. Going out tonight and want to go out excited about firing it up - not pissed because there was a problem!!!!

I was thinking of doing a similar thing in the future with mine but actually losing the glovebox as I am thinking of trimming the dash in leather and then mounting the screen where the glovebox was, but mounted flush into the dashboard as opposed to bolted on

Well it's almost ready to fire up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got a few more bolts to put in, Bit of re-wiring to tidy up a bodge job by a mechanic recently. Then a major bit of wiring putting the battery in the boot. Then I'll get to hear that whine of the Lysholm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mmmmmm One reason why I don't like teh Ali Shrick sumps. Tooooo fragile! Not saying that with a standard one that wouldn't have happened, but certainly would have been less likely Sorry to hear this fella!!!!! Looks like were both out of pocket on this one!!!! :(
