  1. Speak to Darren at G-Werks - he does a much better uprated one than the standard one. I've been using it for quite sometime now and no issues. And if anyone in a G60 is going to have issues with engine mounts it's me!!!!
  2. I've STILL got more plans for mine but I'm now getting into the REALLY expensive stuff - and the final parts are getting much more complicated!!!!
  3. Wow--- The install turned out to be much harder than I originally planned as needed to change how the oil cooler take off pipes ran, I started to tidy up alot of the wiring also. But got most of it installed however still need to cut down one last ali 90 deg bend for teh boost pipe route. Need a stud extractor to pull out the last few studs for the rocker cover to change them for longer. Few pics......
  4. Mmmmmmmm Lots of new toys arrived over the last few days due to a recent spending spree!!!! Looks like tomorrow is going to be a busy day
  5. It's alot of dough for an audi though!!! Personally I think I'd want something with a bit more pedigree for that money - although don't get me wrong it is lovely!!!
  6. MMMM Even tempted to do this to mine now!!!!!!!! Well done fella!!!!!
  7. Yeah I use them quite a bit!!! They are great!!!!
  8. A good mop and a set of split rims and it'll be Scchwwwweetttttt!!!!
  9. ?????? :cuckoo:
  10. Get one of these ones - although a little pricey!! on the far right of induction kits section down the page
  11. Yeah I'll give you that one!!!!!!!! I'm sure you can try contacting them, but don't know what they would be able to show you, I imagine it will be much like VW where they can call up the service history.
  12. Well I've had my new 159 for almost 6 months and I've had an issue with the brake master cylinder being faulty, which is about to be replaced under warranty. But that is pretty much it. The phone system is a bit echoey but they are going to look into that!! Yes the Alfa's do have faults, but really for the the looks and driving experiance I can get over it!!!!!!!!! It's all part of owning an italian car, just like the italian women (yes I've been there!!) they are tempremental!!!
  13. Just out of interest, when your setting the timing with a timing light - Are you unplugging the blue temp sensor on the flang at the front of teh engine??
  14. I have a brand new 159 Lusso with Red Leather interior and absolutely LOVE IT!!!!! SEE HERE!
  15. No they dont have them IIRC!! I looked into this when I turned mine into a 2Ltr G60. Believe me the cost I forked out with converting the 1.8PG Block used into the G60 into a 2031cc and having to use different crank, rods and complete one off custom designed pistons from JE, I certainly looked into this conversion first and discussed it with various engine builders as it would have been a FAR FAR cheaper option and the consensus was to avoid like the plague.
  16. Thats definatly a "Lets give this guy a scare!" Just a warning. If they are going to do anything they have to stop you and issue a "Notice of Intended Prosecution" Slip!
  17. It's the conversion that TSR used to offer and if I remember rightly actually isn't a very good idea. The block isn't up to being force inducted IIRC it is due to the lack of oil getting to the bottom of the pistons, the G60 block has oil squirters and I believe this doesn't and you risk it going pop!!!!!
  18. That'd be why I have one!!![/quote:40856] Wouldn't that coolness be cancelled out by coming from Birmingham though mate? ;)[/quote:40856] Ahhhhh No I don't come from Birmingham, I only live here!!!! So please - I'm not one and definatly don't sound like one!!!
  19. That'd be why I have one!!!
  20. Whats more disastrous for them is that it was not a race participant that died but a local from where they were, a porsche hit non participants car killing the driver and putting the passenger (his wife) in intensive care. Yet as the article states Gumball tried to cover it up unsuccessfully. As stated you would have thought that with now running for 9 years they would expect this to happen at some stage and be fully prepared for it. Yet they weren't and clearly didnt seem to know what to do. It's a shame as in theory its a great event but as others have said a mix of copious wealth, parties late into the night, alcohol and other possible substances, and long driving in high performance cars and a seemingly arrogance of invincablility sometimes will eventually lead to disaster. I'm not against any of the afforementioned triats but they dont all mix in one event really!!!!
  21. Sorry to hear that fella!!! But if it's any consolation - after my new engine build went for the MOT knowing it was running rich as it wasn't mapped but thought we'd give it a go. I was at 12% CO and at a WHOPPING 6700 HC lol!!!! Turns out it was simply that I had forgotten to reattach the vacuum pipe to the ECU that caused it!!!!  When retested it came right down to 0.1CO and 120 HC!!
  22. I believe Revell make a kit. As to the quality of that kit - I don;t know!
  23. I love having a car built in '91 Legal Cat Removal - I don't like fluffy bunnies anyway!!!
