Final Sentance should have read................ "I was very disappointed that no matter how much Paul and I polished and caressed it, upon final buffing the car still appeared to be an astra!"
-
I've been searching for it everywhere but can't find anyone that has it in stock!
-
I'm not that far from Leeds!

Can you get stainless steel ones or do you need to get them made?#
-
Adn will you be beating prices on jsut the roll bars - as they are currently on my list of to do's!
-
they do need to be wired in as the system incorporates an inertia reel that is then connected to a device that sensors movement, must be mounted upright and seems to have a big metal ball in it! I have a pic on the last page of my members gallery but it's just laid out on my floor as waiting for my cage to go in before the harnesses go in!

I've just bought the Autocontrol harnesses but they are 3 point! However they are fantastic. But you still lose the ability to use teh rear seats. Basically, you either mount them under the rear seats or you use the rear seat belt mounting points which means you lose the use of the rear seat belts rendering it illegal to use your rear seats as the passengers won't be able to belt!

Try getting someone to push down on the side that is stuck while you pull the bonnet release, that will usually free it in that situation!

I got my last set of trilocks off when I lost the key with an impact socket and a big hammer. knocked the impact socket over the trilock and then just put the ratchet in and off they came!

New toys arrived today!!! What you think??? They are Schroth Auto Control harnesses. Essentially instead of being a fixed harnesses that locks you in position all the time it has an inertia reel that allows the harness to extend like a seatbelt, but then if the car starts corneringor moving about then it locks it in position. It also has a swith that I can put into the dash that lets me override that and lock them all the time! It's all in aid of theRear Roll cage thats going in next week, got a 51mm polished alloy cage with X rear bars and also an extra bar added in behind the headrests of the front seat to act as the support bar for the harnesses as I have nothing to rest them on with my seats. Also have bought a leather hide that arrives tomorrow to trim the A,B and C pillars etc in as all evidence of the seat belts will be removed. ie. holes in the B pillars for the height adjust.

I'd use the Schroth online shop if i was you!!

Going round a corner TOO fast is obviously dangererous, however you are increasing the danger exponentially by having tyres that are an incorrect fit and likely to peel themselves off the rim at speed!

Been there fella - been there soooo much Mine was off the road: 3 Months while the custom intercooler was put in, and included having to involve the police in repossessing the car from the first garage and taking it to a second. 1 YEAR!!!! While the engine was custom built!! including 2 failed build attempts resulting in the engine going pop twice!!! 3 Months recently while the body was being modified and resprayed!! And I'm by no means the worst for time off road!!! So you've got alot of waiting to do yet fella!!! Good luck!!

You drop the main head lining - then with the roof on tilt you can just tug it backwards and it will come free. Did mine last week!!!
-
Will be frantically cleaning it tomorrow inside teh car ready for ultimate dubs as I have to drop the car off saturday night. But will try and get some up!
-
I heard my name!!!! Avoid powerflow - I had alsorts of problems with theirs! Supercharged cars generate huge amounts of heat in the exhaust and therefore alot of places just won't do them. Longlife exhausts are good, and so are teh blue flame ones.

YAY!!!! After managing to fix the sunroof, thankfully the cables hadn't snapped and it was just the water guide plate needed replacing!!! Then having issues with the new door handles and the doors not locking, all is done. It's finished!!!!! I'm off to pick it up in a couple of hours!!!!! Sooooooooooooooooooo Excited!!
