  1. I've just used a short piece of the ducting and slotted it behind the headlight where the OEM filter gets its air from... Seems to work really well and saves messing about with the CC. Still makes a good amount of induction noise too!
  2. Parent and child spaces are needed because it is not possable to get a child seat into a car without opening the door fully, you quite obviously can not open the door fully in a standard parking space, hence parents with children REQUIRE a wider space, its not for no reason, I agree that parking spaces in general should be bigger, but thats not a reason to inconvenience others. I take it you dont have children? Getting a babyseat out of a corrado parked in a normal space is a bloody nightmare isnt it :( The country just seems full of Selfish & Arrogant people... wont even get started on people who chuck litter out of their cars
  3. Haha cheers, it is a great colour 8) Thats a pretty good quote really, can't complain... Take it easy getting used to it, esp. on the moterway... the vr just effortlessly pulls & by the time you realise it your doing stupid speeds
  4. Nice motor!! I wouldn't do any more major mods to it.... Looks spot on to me. BTW, can't believe you're 20 and drive a vr - insurance must be crazy!
  5. Bit of a drive away but a mate runs a bodyshop in Shelf near Halifax. CR Repairs Unit 3, 11 Wade House Road Shelf Halifax 01274 678383 07729 955539 (Craig Renton) He used to work for Impact in brighouse before setting up on his own, does very high quality work eps. likes VW's. He runs a mint 20vt Rallye.
  6. Wow, thats so cheap! I doubt i'd be able to get it that low and i've about 8yrs NCB - I pay about £500 on the VR You must live in a very low risk area.
  7. Marry her  Happy birthday BTW!
  8. I really want the 288 brake setup on mine, one day i'll get round to it! They look superb. How are you liking the stopping power then ? Very nice motor by the way!

    New Brake Pipes

I took my carriers off the other week to do the discs - all of them were badly seized, managed to get 3 off using lots of heat, a breaker bar and long length of pipe. 4th one rounded off but an angle grinder soon sorted it, they are a complete nightmare. Good luck!
  11. Wow!!! Can't believe how immaculate the paintwork looks, very impressive! Be good to get a few before & after shots on your site!
  12. Thanks Herisites, it is a great colour! I do keep thinking about selling up, as we have a baby due in August. I just can't bring mayself to part with it though, i'd never find another like it! only has 64k on the clock, so going by Volkscars prices its worth about 8k  Any ideas for corrado baby seats ?
  13. Blimey, those are expensive cars! Oak green is great colour, but 5 grand for a 16v mk2 golf!

    Caliper ID ??

Cheers for that... The main problem was the banjo bolt sticking out too far... they just physically wouldn't go on! Was a bit of a pain really, but at least we managed to get the new disks, bearings and pads on.

    Caliper ID ??

ried fitting some MK4 rear calipers today and had loads of trouble.... Quick check on the net revealed I'd been sold the wrong callipers!!! Does anyone know what they are from so I can sell them on ??
  18. Sounds like you had a lucky escape, albeit a very painful one! Hope you get yourself fixed up soon, take it easy!
  19. That looks pretty low to start with to be honest, I reckon the original shocks had sagged quite a bit. Looks spot on to me now!

  23. I think all supermarkets should be force to use trolleys that you put pound coins into. Then the lazy gits are forced to attach it to another trolley to get their quid back! Its such a simple soloution
  24. I did mine the other week and found it really easy to do. Just make sure the socket is a good fit and keep checking everything is level!
