  1. As far as I'm aware the lower the et number the closer to the arches the wheels will go. I think et on original wheels is 35 (different for vr6) so if 44 you would probably need spacers anyway so if I'm right an et with 44 plus 20mm spacer would make an et of 24 which should be fine. Has the car been lowered or is it standard. Could someone confirm this is correct or have I got it totally wrong?

  2. Are you able to get adapters in the fitment you need? If so you would probably be best of to go down that route now you have spent out on getting them powder coated. Do you know what the et for them is? As you don't want to push the wheels to far out.

  3. Hi all. My G60 seems to have developed a intermittent fault. I am getting a knocking noise but not sure where it is coming from it only happens when accelerating and if I tame my foot off the accelerator the knocking noise stops so I think that would rule out anything lose rattling as the noise would be constant not just under acceleration. As mentioned the problem is intermittent. Anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions as to where to start looking?

  4. Are you still looking for a shell? If so pm me as I have a shell which is being fully re furbed. I was building it up for myself but have taken a new job which means I need a boring car. Based in Essex.

  5. Cheers for the links chaps. Found them at €420 which is about £330. So for 2 wings that's more than half what I paid for the car. Think I might give them a miss.

  6. Tjninny - the rear edge of the wheel arch is rusted. The bodyshops' opinion was that grinding away the rust would remove that part of the arch. A used wing with minor damage that can be repaired without removing a significant amount of metal would be better, so I might be interested. Have you any photos of yours?

SR_Neale - yes, prices are listed. Why not have a look at the site?

Didn't want to register to find they didn't list the prices so will register now.cheers

  7. thanks Neale, the rear measurement would help too

if I can get a couple of estimates I can then compare to mine

the VR is in need of paint, again. unfortunately the body shop who painted the sides & bonnet turned out to be not the most perfect of outlets. after 18 months I ended up with micro blisters on the bonnet & they have gotten so bad now that the paint has started to crack between the raised bumps

plus I need to have the sill which was repaired last year painted & though I have no idea how I am going to fund it the gf is backing me for a respray

you may recall that I managed to get a full Kamei body kit, as per what it on the valver minus the front spoiler, from goldie on here.

original intention was to find a Kamei front spoiler & put that on the valver to get that to how it was when I first owned it

however, the devil is on my shoulder & shouting 'put it on the VR'

there are so few rado's with the Kamei kit, which I believe was a factory option for early versions, I don't know If I can resist

I haven't forgotten to do the measurements just been busy. As for the kamie kit go for it.

  8. The damper bodies are zinc and colour electroplated only. This plating is really more for show than protection and will corrode relatively quickly if not protected by a waxoyl coating. This is by no means something to harm their reputation or build quality, but the price must reflect somewhere and not fitting stainless steel bodies brings the cost down considerably.

Top man. I will get them waxoyl'd soon. I didn't realise they would corrode so would have just left them as is. Cheers

  9. I fitted aps to mine about 3 months ago and more than happy with them.I don't even feel the need to avoid pot holes which also makes the drive experience more enjoyable. Couldn't recomend them highly enough.

Like the idea of waxoil I thought they had some sort of coating on them but I guess not.

  10. thanks Neale

I had heard the same too

I had also thought about measuring, it seemed the most sensible option, but how to go about it is what I wonder

all rado bumpers seem to naturally 'fit' slightly different to one another

I guess if I could somehow make a datum point which raised up vertically from each out edge of the bumper I could measure the gap between the 2 but I don't fancy adhering anything to the wings to hold an upright

I also didn't really want to have to remove them off the valver & vr to sight up & measure that way - I was kind of hoping someone who breaks rado's might have one of each stored & would see the post & compare them

it would be great if you could produce a decent measurement m8

I have my early spec bumpers off at the mo but front is some pos fibre glass so wouldn't trust any measurements from that I can measure the rear though. What you got planned anyway?
