sweet i cannot wait to see if it is looking hot or not.
-
that would actually be pretty cool. just having one ring on each side in the inner part of the headlight. i would rock that.
-
i think if you are going to try and do the angel eye look you might as well upgrade the lights to the e36 ones... thats just what i would do.
-
well, if you cannot get the proper contact information, i would not bother wasting time on it. but if the contact information checks out and the check you get from the guy clears, then go for it. but make sure you can get good contact with the actual buyer and try to speak to them on the phone. and DO NOT go through western union. it is a bad company for money transferes to people you dont know.
-
western union bank is a non traceable money transfer company. i would avoid any transactions through there. if the guy is sending you a physical check for the car, i would wait for the check to clear, and if it does, then you are good. as long as you are ACTUALLY getting the money for the car, i dont see a reason to not sell it. this is just my opinion. i am from the US and i am not trying to stick up for this country. there are a lot of shady things that happen here, but this may be a lagitimate sale for your car. i would just consider it. i would also try and get all of the contact information you can about this person, phone #'s, address' etc. i would try and talk to the person on the phone as well because that is something the scamers will try to avoid as well. if need be i can look into this guy for you. where in the US does this guy live? where does he want to ship the car?

I was wondering what might be the issue with my tachometer. It will rev a bit delayed, and it won’t rev past like 2500. I have no idea what could be the problem. Any ideas? Maybe something came loose in the back? Help me out if you can with some ideas.

thats probably the nicest one i have seen. i have seen the same body kit with different colors, wheels, etc. and this is the best looking one i have seen yet. still not my style. if you had the engine to back up all that extra weight it would be ok in my books.

get the ones with the chains in them, you will never have to worry about breaking with those ones.

i saw my first Golf Limited in person the other day...
Red=Fast replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
wow, thats pretty crazy.... the person who owns this one spent thousands to get it imported to the US. it was imported from germany to mexico, then driven over the border, then towed to its current home in california. an amazing car to say the least. -

A very limited edition hand-built Golf2 variant exists, including all of the best features available at the time. designed and built by the Volkswagen Motorsport division, only 71 of these "G60 Limited" models exist; featuring a unique number and plaque, the G60 supercharger was combined with the 16valve GTi engine, mated to a sports transmission and "Synchro" four-wheel-drive mechanism. All of these special edition models came in black, with four doors (except two in three door), a plain two-headlamp grill (not the usual GTi 4 headlamps) and a unique blue grill detail (not red, as the GTi) and motorsport badges. It is rumoured that two models were produced with air conditioning. In 1989, these cars cost in the region of £25,000 each and were primarily sold to VAG executives and managment, although a few do exist in Britain to date (2004). Now these things sell for thousands more... -
i saw a real golf limited the other day and wow. i am in the US so its even more rare to see one. i was blown away by how awesome and well kept this thing was. wow. i thought i would just share my awesome sighting. oh, the owner wants to challenge any R32 that is willing to take it in the gravel. heh.

i am so stoked. i just got word that my momo seat brakets will be in on monday (today) and also yesterday i got my corrado to finally idle on its own! i need to do some more modifications before it will idle more smoothly but it was actually running without me holding the throttle body open. the car is so close ot being driveable. i cannot wait. once it is driveable, then come breaking in the cams, breaking in the engine, and doing a fair amount of tuning to get it reliable. =] i will update some pictures soon! oh, here are the details on it. (the most recent is rear the bottom of the page) http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1457712&page=2 -
finally the brakets came in for the seats, and it ended up they were the wrong brakets. so i havent put them in yet. later today i am supposed to pick up the new brakets. they are supposed to be adjustable on the height (so they say) so i will let you guys know when i pick them up today.

haha, i even talked the guy down again on the price. 12k for it now. but i cannot get the money to buy it. my parents are not willing to co-sign for me to get a loan. the only reason i need a co-signer is because i just started my credit like 3 months ago, and i guess it takes something like 6 months to a year to actually get a credit score. pretty lame. i hope i can come up on some money soon. on another note, i finally got my corrado to idle on its own yesterday. here is the link esplaing things. i am quite excited. =] http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1457712&page=2 down towards the bottom of the thread i will explain things.
-
why not do them all black. it think it would make the car flow more.
-
i think its more than a few thousand. i really dont want to take a 3 day trip back home. plus i think i might be spending that much on gas there and back. =]
-
UPDATE!!! i just talked to the seller and he said he would take 15k for it. he says it is at EIP tuning getting its final tune up and whatnot from the engine swap. oh yeah the engine only has 2500 miles on it. its basicly a brand new engine. wow. i am going to be flying over there within the next 2 weeks to go check it out.
-
haha. i have worked the whole thing out finacially now. i am just waiting for the guy to say yes so i can buy my plane ticket and get going on the loan paperwork. =]
-
i am waiting on a response from the seller now. flying across the US to look at a car seems a bit extreme to me, but i would like to be sure im not going to end up with a project car again. =]
