Can be, but bit cold out there for temps like that, unless you are driving fairly spirited?? I wouldn't worry about it, unless you temps are exceeding 120.
-
Oooooh, where did you get them from Chris?
-
Any progress fella, was watching this with interest...

I've soon loads and my friend who works for vw says that the sales people are on rations in terms of being supplied new ones as demand is high. Yeah, as I said for the last quarter of last year we only got one factory slot a month. Think there are a few more about now. But not many more. It was never going to be a car VW wanted to flood the market with. As I say to my customers, the exclusivity is part of the appeal.  Not that it takes much effort to sell a Scirocco.... It's funny, with the Corrado they made plenty, but couldn't sell them cos of the price, and the Scirocco they could sell loads as they are an excellent car at the right price, but don't want to. Makes no sense does it. So, when are you gonna come and see me in it then?

Thought I'd give it a go this year, so I'm in. Team Braaaaan all the way, baby!!
-
£645 for the Golf VR though....worth at least double that, I'm sure.
-
280 quid for Gooney.....not bad considering only paid 300 for it.....worth more than that though :)
-
James, that is looking AWESOME :salute: ...... .......Bastard!
-
I bet you're glad you didn't sell it now, Sukh??

WHOOOOOOT! Good work that man! Bet you feel great now?

Another inflation of the truth by the media. Why am I not surprised.....

One question; would the 'wall of torque' that this kit produces put a hell of a lot of stress on a standard gearbox? Or is the 02A capable of handling that fairly easily? P.S. the numbers look very impressive 8)

Gave the Corrado a wash and started him up for the first time in about 8 months

Whoot! Good to see this progressing well, Yan!

Seems a bit weird that the new HT leads were 'average'?? If they were new genuine VW, then they will be better than the used ones on the car, surely? Also, issues with HT leads will be more evident in damp conditions as opposed to dry.

Try Brentacre. Always been the cheapest for me, plus they don't charge an admin fee when you make changes to your policy, like Flux and HIC, who are in fact the same company.....
-
Whoot, some progress Yan...it's all good :) So apart from the above, is there much left to do?
-
Pretty sure they do, but that's based on research I'd made to fit a 24v into a mk3 golf VR. I may of course be totally wrong as I've never actually offered the 12v bracket up to a 24v block. If someone could confirm, I'd also like to know for sure.
-
IIRC because the block of both the 12v and 24v are the same, the alternator bracketry (and thus air-con) is interchangeable. Depending on how your 4MO lump was fitted and which bracketry was used, it should be possible to fit an air-con pump, without modification, as they did with the Diavia kit. Apparently there are only about 3 or 4 different fitments for air-con pumps since time began, so it's just a matter of finding the right pump from a donor car.

It seems random threads aren't the only thing 'popping up'
