  3. Use the drivers seat belt to hook around the bonnet release handle to hold it 'open', then just push down on the corners of the bonnet, and it should pop up. If not, then the cable is fubared. Otherwise try this knowledge base article jammed_bonnet_opening_tips

  5. So it's down on power on the 'at the wheels' figure too? The CAT will slow your gas speeds quite a lot, so that could be choking the engine a little.
