    very very very very nice motor, i'm liking it loads :) and i feel your frustration with the R32 :( its horrible having the car sitting there waiting for the last little bits to come together. And i'm loving those wheels 8)

    i did not get the ECU back on thursday, nothing to do with The Phirm but DTA have held it up slightly :( i was supposed to go to The Phirm today and pick up the ecu, but got in very very very late this morning 7.30am :shock: so was in no fit state to drive. so it looks like its gonna have to be next week :( god i'm missing my car at the moment.

    why bother will changing the switces/soldering etc etc, and just do what i said in the first place?? sell your early doorcards for about £100 on e-bay, get your late doorcards re-trimmed, if you haven't got the approx £200 to get them fully re-trimmed?? pay about £100 to just get the cloth parts done in leather. it will make the car look like it should also. and vwdeviant if you want the grey leather?? i can dye them black for ya.

    there may be a credit crunch going on, but it does still not stop nutters like us lot spending thousands on old cars though :cuckoo: when i spoke to pete @ dubpower at ed38, he said its been he's busiest year since he has started trading, and how many people just on this forum are doing turbo/charger/engine conversions. sod the kids, they can eat beans on toast for 6 months, but my car must be better/faster than when it came out the factory :lol:

    well heres a set for sale £100 http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=177107 and when i refurbed my RC's i used Mettalik from halfords for building up the rim that had some deep curb marks, its been perfect for over 7months.

    yeh i had bought a C30-94 for the 12v, but TTS had it straight back off me. i think a single GT3582 will be plenty for the R32 :D

    well i have just had the phone call from The Phirm to say my ECU will be ready for collection on thursday :clap: so it will be all go on friday/saturday. and as for the rotrex, i have a pagparts turbo manifold sitting in the garage :cuckoo: but that wont be fitted along with other bits i've accumulated until early next year.

    quite simply, an early interior will 90% fit into a later car but the front doorcards wont fit. sell the early leather doorcards and use that money to get your old front doorcards re-trimmed.

    cheers mate, well i'm hoping the DTA will be back any day soon :D and i'm off all this week, so i'm hoping it will be running very very soon :D

    well the 12v throttle body cant be that much smaller, as the standard R32 air intake hose is a very very snug fit onto it. and you can have the fan/adjustable thermostat for £50. and as for emerald not doing many of these set ups, i'm 99% sure that storm only use Emerald for there R32 conversions.

    looks like your nearly there Ben :) as for the throttle body, i'm using the standard 12v throttle body, I just made an adaptor plate so it mates up to the R32 manifold. and if your intrested mate, i will have a kenlowe fan for sale by wednesday/thursday if your intrested.

    the vortech has no advantages over the rotrex. hows that for a short answer :lol:

    no it's not running yet :( i'm just waiting for the ECU to come back from the Phirm, i have been in no hurry though due to sorting out a wedding/moving house. The ECU should be back this week, so hopefully it will be running very soon :D

    please dont think i'm telling you what to do mate. :) but you can safely run the rotrex upto 10psi with out the need for water injection, i did with my vortech for 18months. you also dont need an uprated fuel pump for 10psi, and i believe that storm use the (cheap) saab turbo injectors for there rotrex chargers. but there was a 2nd hand devils own water injection system for sale on ed38 about a week ago, i'm sure the guy only wanted £100 for it. karl

    is that a c90-94?? if it is, you should see well over 300bhp easilly 8) just stick below 12psi due to not having any cooling though. shove a chargecooler on and you should see near 400bhp 8) karl

    so your the person who beat me to them then, i was just waiting for a picture of the front seats. the front seats/back seats will fit 100%, as will the rear door cards. but seeing you only paid £250 for the interior :( you could just get your original front door cards retrimmed so they match your interior (late spec) i was going to buy them, clean them up and put them back on e-bay when they were nice and clean. karl
